Love 'em all, but I'd put Ill Communication at #1

I'd say Ill Communication. It's their creative peak - I know a lot of people think Paul's Boutique is, but that's really the Dust Brothers with the Beasties rapping on top of their work. Check Your Head feels like an Ill Communication warm-up. It's a good record but the sound is kind of flat to me, and some of the experiments aren't executed that well. I might be a little partial though, because Ill Communication was new and in constant rotation for me during a pretty fun point in my life. I had them all when they came out, but Ill Communication came out when I was just about to turn 21, so it was involved in a lot of good times.

I think Ill Communication is their most accomplished work. There's so many interesting soundscapes and the samples are perfect.
