Where exactly do you believe popular music is heading, at the moment? What could pop music turn out to be like five years, or even ten years later? Are we remaining in the dance-pop mode of things for the foreseeable future, or is there something different that predominates, or will come to soon predominate? I am unfamiliar with the present state of music, generally. I mostly listen to music stretching from ancient times, the middle ages, renaissance, baroque, classical, and romantic music, then onward up through the 1980s, occasionally listening to something more recent. I wasn't quite a big listener of current pop music, not when I was very young in the 1990s, not in the 2000s, and only slightly more so in this current decade. My favorite currently popular performers are Taylor Swift and Adele, but I haven't listened to most of their discography, yet.
Another question is, how differently are the various nations approaching the concept of pop music, right now? What could it end up becoming, soon enough?

Dude, Pop music is dead. Has been since 2008. Or 1997, I guess.
