This is an interesting discussion, since this franchise is known to have some really awesome death sequences. With the use of dreams, they come out very creative. My favourite would be Philip's from Dream Warriors. The vains coming from the arms used like a puppet is very unnerving to watch.

It’s hard to top Tina from the first film.

It’s hard to top Tina from the first film. I agree completely. The first remains the best.

It’s hard to top Tina from the first film. I agree completely. The first remains the best. It's the most classic death for sure. Another one of my favourites.

I think Grady's death scene in Nightmare 2 is a well staged and disturbing sequence and almost up there with Tina's death scene from the first. Jesse is going through a possessed transformation, Grady is uber-freaking out and is pounding on the door screaming for his father as Freddy is terrifying him, and then we see bloody blades comes through the other side of the door and then poor Grady's dead bloody body slumping down onto the floor. Part 3, I will have to go with Phillips death. This was well staged and exceptionally creative. Interesting choice. It's a pretty neat death, but not one of the most creative.

I have to go with John Saxon's death in 3.
Wow, I forgot Laurence Fishburne was in that, as well as Bill Maher's twin, Craig Wasson.

Other than that it isn't all special; gets picked up and thrown on spike, nothing creative really. It would be cool if it were a death by Jason, but not Freddy since his death scale by awesomeness is rather higher.

It may not seem special now, but having a stop motion skeleton or any skeleton do it in 1987 was very special.

Gretas death from part 5. Unrated version. Wait when was there an unrated version? Is it extended footage? It was only released on VHS and Laserdisc. Only one in '89 or '90. They are kinda hard to find now. Luckily I got two copies.
