spoilers ahead...
----------------------------
1. Jane - "Tenebre" When out of nowhere, her arm gets lopped off, nobody paints a white wall like Argento. And her screaming is so pitiful, it's agony. and the choice of background music is appropriately odd. Kind of like wind chimes or something. Typical weird Argento touch.
2. Sara - "Suspiria" - the room filled with barbed wire. What kind of imagination thinks this stuff up? Wow!
3. Daria Nicolodi - "Opera" - the bullet through the peephole, that bit was rollercoaster inventive. I'd read somewhere that Vanessa Redgrave was supposed to do that part. Personally I'd like to have seen that.
4. Anthony Franciosa - "Tenebre" - his surprise "second" death scene was intense and unexpected, followed by some really great screaming by Daria Nicolodi running over the end credits
5. Tilda - "Tenebre" - right up until her somewhat confusing and bloody demise, Argento directs what is my all-time favorite Argento set piece, the camera scaling the walls and rooftops, so much attention to texture and movement. I've never seen anything like it before. That roaming bit plays out like a virtual dream.

Gotta go with the peephole in Opera. That was awesome.
