Solid cast led by the likeable Mathew Broderick as a high school kid who unintentionally sets off a series of events leading to possible global thermonuclear war, unless it is stopped. The computer graphics are about as expected for this time period and work very well within confines. But what impressed me most was the production of the war room at NORAD and the massive tactical screens. This is not a small budget film at all. The last 20 minutes are really fascinating and beautifully directed. The way they resolved the problem is really extraordinary. I would watch this again. 9/10

Good movie - it's almost a cult classic at this point.

A 7/10 from me. I really enjoyed WarGames as a child, it fit very well with my fascination of computers. The adventurous nature of the movie was also great at that age. Joshua's voice and phrases are cornerstones of computer culture. Strange game, the only winning move is not to play.

Liked it at the time but compared to Colossus the Forbin Project it is light weight.

Liked it at the time but compared to Colossus the Forbin Project it is light weight. I initially thought you were joking with that title, but it's a real film from 1970 and looks interesting.

High on nostalgia, but a bit dated now.
