Dracula Untold. I don't get why people hate this movie. I thought it was a really great take on the Dracula mythos and a great vampire movie in my opinion. It was never slow and when it ended I wanted more and it was really cool to see how it was gonna be the start of the Universal monster universe.

Good call. I never think of Eyes Wide Shut as being a bomb, it's just too good! It's a very interesting story based on a very interesting book, and it's saturated with Kubrick's signature style, which I personally love.

The Cat in the Hat. Okay yes, it's EXTEMELEY crass. When I was a kid though, it felt like the book had come to life perfectly, even more so than the animated version had done (I was disappointed with the animated version as a kid). So when Mom, immediately after our first time watching it, said to me," Don't ever watch this movie again. It was awful," you can't imagine my disappointment. I felt that all the nonsense had been put onscreen in a perfect way. But I took Mom's word for it that it was a bad movie and I didn't watch it again until I was a teenager. Then I figured out what she was objecting too; a bunch of adult content that my young mind wasn't even able to process back when I was a kid. I would have been just fine. And yes, the movie is pretty stupid, but I consider it "so bad, it's good." If you think about it, "The Cat in the Hat" is kind of supposed to be a stupid story anyway. I still get a lot of laughs from this movie.

They promoted the movie like it was supposed to be a real take on the book. If they had promoted it as a spoof it might have been better.

Little boys are afraid of this one for some reason. Not a great film, but not as bad as some would have you believe. I went in with moderate to low expectations based on the trailer, I quite liked the casting so was hoping that it would be fine at least but it was literally one of the poorest films I have ever seen.. akin to watching a stand up comic bomb on stage to an awkward silent crowd.

Nothing But Trouble. Not saying it's the best Chase and Aykroyd have ever done but it's better than its reputation.

Freddy Got Fingered has a great pace and an off the wall story with inventive gags, I was entertained.. it had bad box office, reviews and gets hated on in general.

I viewed The Passion of the Christ in the theater in 2015 and found it decrepit, pretentious, and pretty much abysmal—an exercise in unadulterated sado-masochism that may work for Christian zealots or some deeply faithful folks yet otherwise makes for a dreary experience. Some people praise the film technically, but outside of a shot here or there, I did not find it impressive on a visual basis, either.
Conversely, I felt that director Mel Gibson delivered one of the best movies of 2016 in Hacksaw Ridge.

Why? One word: Jews. The film is excellent (albeit hard to watch) and has the best depiction of the biblical character, Satan, ever put to film. (...Al Pacino, in Devil's Advocate, is a close second). Cannot wait for the first sequel in history that cannot be spoiled by simpleton-pandering trailers!

They could have at least made the Mario Bros. the same race LOL.
They shouldn't have made a live-action movie at all and there really is no way to make a good live-action version of the game but they could have tried a little harder. I mean they could have made Hopper at least look like a reptile and tried to make the movie resemble the world of the game a little bit instead of making it look like a generic Blade Runner.
You are entitled to your opinion but this movie isn't even so bad it's good, it's just plain AWFUL.
At least Street Fighter is bad in an entertaining way.
I did find it 'so bad, its good.' Too dumb to be taken seriously, but a fun ride. I agree on Dennis Hopper being too human. The world is not the same without a dinosaur-version of Hopper, and we're worse off for it. The whole environment of the Super Mario Bros movie is so bizarre (some of the casting too), I can take a couple puffs and have some fun with it. "Doom" seemed like it played it closer to the vest and didn't take any chances, and I've already forgotten it. Loving both franchises since I was a kid, I wanted a Mario movie and a Doom movie. Shame only one was memorable, even if it was kind of a weird three-legged dog. I found it similar, in appeal, to "Street Fighter" (which I also enjoyed, despite it taking a few liberties with its license). Thrilled me in the same way as SMB, and disappointed me in the same way. Blanka never got his time to shine! "Mortal Kombat" and "Silent Hill" hit it closest to the pin in my book, when it comes to video game adaptations. "Resident Evil" was weird and didn't feel anything like the game...kinda like "SMB" and "Street Fighter." I like stupid fun when I get a minute off...pretty much all of the above fits into that for me. To each their own. There is a difference in that I never played Resident Evil and so I really had no idea it was nothing like the game. I thought it was decently made for the type of movie it was. I wouldn't have enjoyed Super Mario Bros. even if it wasn't a game, I just think it is a very poorly made movie that isn't very entertaining at all. It seems wierd that you would bring up the movie on here after admitting it's so bad it's good. Super Mario Bros. is by far my favorite video game so that probably has something to do with my distaste for the movie. I never played Silent Hill but I hate the movie. Mortal Kombat is the only video game based movie that I like.

I mean it's certified fresh on RT with a 7.5/10 average rating and has a ton of reviews. I also know Roger Ebert rated it 3.5/4 stars. I would guess it was more divisive than flat out panned.

I'm not currently, and never was a huge gamer, but adapting a game narrative is a relatively new beast, and an interesting undertaking. I listed movies I could see as SMB's perhaps kindred spirits. A mixed batch of stuff that sometimes worked and was sometimes dreadful, but for the most part tried to take some chances, to say the least. However, in the immortal words of Sam Elliot in The Big Lebowski, "aww, look at me. I'm ramblin' again. Seeya on down the trail."

Another think Street Fighter has going for it is a brilliant comedic performance from Raul Julia. It is also much more self aware and playful than SMB imo. It's still a bad movie but it's entertainingly bad. I love the painting in M. Bison's office of him grabbing a bull by the horns or something along those lines. I do like the SMB cartoon though. I think that is what your avatar is from right?

Would have enjoyed seeing what he had in store for us in the audience before leaving us too quickly. Enjoyed Van Damme in this too...he was perfectly cast as far as I'm concerned. His speech before leading the boat assault is classic and was perfectly done IMHO. Then, random Ben Kingsley to top it off! I can't even call Street Fighter a guilty pleasure, because I genuinely love it. Nailed my avatar, from the SMB cartoon. I'm not a huge Nintendo (or video game) fan, but my nickname as a kid was koopa. Decided to run with it.
