9/10. The original 1931 is still very good but even as a kid, it seemed like there were pieces missing and I didn't like the ending;it seemed rushed. This however feels like a complete picture and an excellent one at that.

9/10. Excellent movie I just wish we had gotten to see more of the Bride herself.

10/10 One of the very few times a sequel is better than the original. Plus it ads very dark black humour, and introduces us to the craziest of them all Dr Pretorius. And gave us a hairdo we don't see that often anymore: Franz Waxman's wonderful compositions and score on the soundtrack. And who can forget the wonderful scenes with the hermit, that humanizes the creation.

9/10, and I thought the scene between Gene Hackman and the Monster was fantastic.

I found the scenes with the shrunken animals a bit odd and out of place, but otherwise...classic.

I already rated it 4/5 in my film collection, so that translates as 8/10 here.
An above average film and a worthy sequel to FRANKENSTEIN.

I expected to see more of the 'bride' but this is a really good movie, outstanding production for the time and I think quite imaginative.

For its time, an incredibly imaginative and mind-blowing film. Not just far better than the original, but far better than any horror film of that era.

B+
I prefer Frankenstein, a more suspenseful origin tale. This one has too many silly townsfolk characters moments for me, & the monster talking takes away some of his thrill for me.

7/10. For a movie titled The Bride of Frankenstein, I sure did want to see more of the Bride, but Boris Karloff's performance as Frankenstein's Monster helps to cement it as his most defining role.
