Spiderman's a kid trying to take care of his aunt. It's understandable that he has a secret identity. It doesn't make sense for Batman though. He seems to have lost pretty much everything other than Alfred. If everyone knew that Batman was Bruce Wayne he would lose his mystique and cease to be a symbol. It isn't just about protecting his loved ones. Also, his mansion would be under constant attack. So put some safe-guards on your mansion. The way high-profile celebrities and politicians have safety measures. Should be easy for Batman since he's this extremely intelligent inventor and all.

But revealing his identity still destroys the mythical image that Batman is supposed to be in the eyes of his enemies.

Come on, man. You have to embrace the wondrousness, whatever that means.

But revealing his identity still destroys the mythical image that Batman is supposed to be in the eyes of his enemies. So he just waits for the FBI to figure out his identity (which shouldn't take long) by using modern-day facial recognition software, oust him to news reporters, and have his name slandered by the public instead of simply owning up to who he is and saving face? The end result is the same, people will eventually figure out who he is, at least in a realistic scenario. Might as well do it on your own grounds than get dragged through the mud.

But you're okay with talking raccoons and aliens that speak perfect English? (Btw I am ok with those things. Just making a point) I mean, this is very selective nitpicking you're doing here.

Yes, because it makes sense within the rules of the world they live in. Both DCEU and MCU project a world where aliens and super powers are real, where a talking racoon is just as realistic as carnivorous humanoid flies. What ISN'T done in their movies is to portray human beings as completely dumb and idiotic. Dumb and idiotic enough to not see through a pair of glasses as a form of disguise or to easily put two and two together to realize Bruce Wayne always disappears when Batman is around.

You clearly just hate DC characters and are looking to bash them. Bruce Wayne's secret identity is not dumb it is a vital part of the character. It absolutely works. You're nitpicking.

No, I'm saying secret identities won't work nowadays with modern technology. Not when you're as big and notorious a character as Batman. Just because I make a valid point doesn't mean I hate DC. I would say exactly the same thing if this was an MCU character, but fortunately the MCU is smart enough to realize that secret identities won't work.

Ummm...Have you even bothered to read the comic books or are you basing this all on the DCEU? There are multiple DC superheroes that don't have secret identities or haven't used them for years and Raven and Starfire don't have secret identities. Starfire did years ago but that was dropped in a lot of the later comic books. Black Canary doesn't wear a mask and Dinah Drake and Dinah Laurel Lance's real identities are known in the Black Canary and Birds of Prey comic books. Dinah Drake is the lead singer of the Black Canary band and the people who go to DD's concerts see her getting in brawls and using the Canary Cry and Dinah Laurel Lance was on the run from the law in the 'Birds of Prey' New 52 series and the police knew who she was. Starling never wore a mask or had a secret identity in 'Birds of Prey', Strix/ Mary stayed in her costume and didn't have a life outside of being Strix. Supergirl done away with her secret identity in a lot of the comic books in the 00s and 10s and was Supergirl all the time and bathed in oceans and slept in the sky with no house or a job.
Booster Gold's identity was well known in all the comic books I read and Oliver Queen came out as the Green Arrow in a public press conference during the Hrax storyline back in 1995 when Hyrax was threatening to reveal his secret identity to the world unless he did everything she wanted him to do and they had him come out in 'Smallville' and just recently in 'Arrow' too the exact same way in press conferences. Come to think of it 'Iron Man' copied that. There are a number of DC superheroes that don't have secret identities that are superheroes all the time 'cause they don't have time for normal lives and have to fight crime. None of the Crows in 'The Crow' movies had secret identities and the criminals and friends worked out who they were and 'X Men' movies did away with secret identities in movies when they had Wolverine not wearing the yellow costume and people calling him Logan everywhere.
