Hope you like the Fast & Furious movies because that's what will become of the XMEN. Hmm, at least maybe we'll see some weird shit like Mojo or the Savage Land.

Remember the last time Universal started a big franchise and they canceled it? Dracula Untold? Then they started another franchise and they canceled it? The Mummy? Yep, Universal is the better place to go...
But will we get the Mojoverse? Maybe the Savage Land because of Jurassic World.

If the movies aren't making the money they are suppose to they are going to step in. fox makes money in their own right, not to mention they make better films which is the deciding factor, especially for a studio that are far more mature, more respected and don't cater to kids or are as marketed obsessively to kids and the dumb masses.
mcu fans are funny and insecure, your movies are so bad mcu fans cannot stand allowing other comic films to exist. not our problem.
the genre needs movies like logan and tdk or DOFP or batman begins or even Watchmen. All marvel comic films getting 100% disneyfied is an insult to the genre. Comcast better win this. the genre is at stake.
8 billion more is huge, no way disney will counter attack.

I like many comic that are not disneyfied.
Disney has ruined MCU, their movies are a joke now. they ruined Star wars, we cant allow them to do that to xmen. not after films like Logan, DOFP and Deadpool in recent memories.

If Fox was doing good then they wouldn't be selling off the entertainment side of the company. They would be thriving. Somewhere somebody can't handle something and is giving up.
But those characters belong to Marvel. You aren't saying that DC should give up half of their characters. If Fox had all of Marvel's characters and was making the MCU with all the movies connected and it was as good, I'd be all for it. You see I'm not hating on the studio making the movies. It's the people directly making the movies I have a problem with. Deadpool 2 is good, but Apocalypse wasn't. I'm on the fence with New Mutants because of the heavy reshooting they are doing, but I'm hoping that it will be good. I have no faith in Dark Phoenix because of who is making it. Was not a fan of Kinberg because of X3. None of the subsequent movies have helped. Again, if Fox got better people making the movies (that also includes getting rid of Avi Arad), then the X-men movies would be better.
The genre is better than ever. Everyone is going to see CBMs. It's not niche anymore. It use to be that people only go see the most popular characters like Spider-man, Batman and Superman. Now other characters are overshadowing them. That means the genre is doing something right. You know why people are crying superhero movie fatigue? Because it is doing well at the moment. And people fear that what they like is going to go away.
Tell me something: If you win the lottery, would you rather get $2 million dollars now or $1 million now plus $2,000 a month for life?
Another thing. What you don't realize is that the MCU is how I've been saying the X-men movies should have been even when X1 was made. All I got was people saying that that wouldn't look good and people would laugh at it. Funny how people are all in on it.

Um, fox is not selling due to bankruptcy they are selling because the owner wants to move on. it has nothing to do with lack of money. another lie.
mcu connected movies = death of free thinking and real film making.
Please watch this video to see how a sensible person explains why mcu ooc connected nonsense sucks. its not even a big comic thing as many comic stories were stand alones
the genre is better than ever. LOL.
if mcu movies are making the genre better than ever, than you should be satisfied with that and should not care less what DC does or who wants to buy fox.
we need more logans and tdk. the genre is better today for that. that is fact.
IW war comes out and we are told how harmful the movie is to cinema. is that what you call better? not in the real world.
Comcast should out bid Disney. if mcu is so good. you will not be upset about that. fact.

Actions speak louder than words. You said that you had no interest in watching New Mutants. I think some fans in general conflate style and tone with storytelling far too much so now it forces people to pick a side in the wrong fight. That really irritates me. Neither the XMEN movies or the DC films as a whole wound up becoming outpaced by the MCU simply because they took themselves seriously or chose a different style like a drama or a horror, etc. The bad ones were hampered by bad storytelling decisions and studio interference. Same as with any other film franchise. I welcome variety to the superhero genre, that's what keeps it from getting stale. Whether it's broad comedy, action, horror, drama, whatever. Make it good. Remember that two year dead zone in the first superhero movie boom between 2006 and 2007 when most films that were released sucked or were mediocre? No matter what their tone or stylistic choices were. Superman Returns, XMEN: The Last Stand, Ghost Rider, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Spider Man 3, remember that? Then in 2008, something amazing happened. We got Iron Man and The Dark Knight which were opposite ends of the spectrum and did just fine. People may have their preferences between the two but both were just great well made movies. I'll throw in Hellboy: The Golden Army as a third example that is content to be in the middle and it was part fantasy/horror on top of that! Now let me make this topical, since we're on the XMEN board, I think New Mutants has a chance to be good. Venom, I don't expect it to be good since it's indistinguishable from any other standard Hollywood blockbuster if not for that logo at the end. It's not that superhero movies shouldn't take themselves seriously or not have fun, they just shouldn't suck at it. When we say DC movies. we talk about the TDK trilogy, tim burton's batman, original Reeves  superman movies and some underrated films  or over hated films- Superman Returns, man of steel, batman vs superman extended version and watchmen. New Mutants was the only film that showed any real artistic art of all the films in 2018. No surprise MCU fans hate it.MCU does not have to take themselves seriously, that is not my problem just keep xmen away from that.

Kinberg directed and was sole writer of X3? He was the main writer. And the direction was not the main problem of X3. Yeah, they rushed it to spite Singer for making Superman Returns, but the story itself was terrible. I mean look at his writing credits... Not one of his movies can be said to be good.

I’m pretty sure that was Zak Penn who was also main writer on X2. Not one? Sherlock Holmes, Days of Future Past, Star Wars Rebels, and a lot of people digged Mr. & Mrs. Smith. And you should know why the story was terrible: Tom Rothman. He’s the reason it was another Magneto focused film.
