I know there are religions that are against it, but I'm curious if there are any that not only accepts it but encourages it?

I don't know of anything specific but in general those who are against Jesus Christ would promote stuff like that.

gozIll be crystal clear... two people of the same sex, having sex, is immoral. that's why I said what I said in that those who not only accept that, but especially promote it, are going against God.

Not specifically homosexual, but wasn't Greek mythology all about sexuality?

The Shakers were against sex, did not reproduce, and thus went extinct.

Agreed, though I don't know that I would have chosen the word "encourage". UU welcomes and accepts LGBTQ relationships and treats them the same as straight relationships. I wouldn't say they "encourage" them in the same way the Mormon church encourages (straight) marriages and procreation -- i.e. actively promoting them.

For some reason, I'm reminded of a famous quote (disputed though it may be): “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” ― Mahatma Gandhi

Pretty sure some sects of Hinduism accept it rather than encourage. Krishna was said to take form of a transgender in one story and many other gods have embraced non-heterosexual themes.

Here's an inconvenient truth for you -- Jesus talked a lot about the immorality of divorce, but how many times did did he bring up homosexuality? Zero times! But you won't find many American Christian conservatives condemning divorce these days. I wonder why? Making it a hot-button issue that would alienate far too many members and therefore is simply not an option would explain it.

So is eating shrimp, wearing more than two blends of fabric, and women wearing pants. I trust everyone who thinks homosexuality is immoral has never done any of those things either, right?

There have been many religions through the millennia. But history is written in blood, and the victors have almost invariably sought to erase the memory of what they called heretical, so it's often hard now to know what people who did not conform believed in the past.
