That the Leafs have basically been waiting to play the Bruins in the playoffs since New Year's, their recent play doesn't discourage me too too much. They seem lazy & unmotivated.

Well if they keep playing like this they might drop all the way to a wild card spot and might get Tampa in the opening round instead.

Game of the year candidate tonight in Washington as the Lightning beat the champs in an overtime thriller.
The Capitals put a team record 58 shots on goal against Vasileshky and the dude made a ton of great saves.
Tampa is way tough, nothing overrated about this team and the season they are having. Two excellent goalies, two studs on D, and scoring from all over the place. Add in a great coach, and I'm not sure they can be beat 4 times in 7 games.

Kucherov is going to beat the assists record by a winger (87). Just a ridiculous season. Of course, the assist record overall is held by Gretzky, but those records are untouchable which is why we have to stipulate "by a winger".

50+ goal seasons since the second lockout (12/13 season):
Alex Ovechkin x4 (13/14, 14/15, 15/16, 18/19)
...that is all. Draisaitl and Tavares could reach 50 this season. Bout time someone else managed it.

Had a very strange dream sequence last night - a goalies alumni game with them as full skaters. Patrick Roy & I think Gran Fuhr were actually in net, while the likes of Billy Smith, Martin Brodeur, & Ron Hextall played as skaters. Best part was all the goalies crowding Patrick Roy & even Billy Smith smacking Roy around even after he had the puck & play stopped. It was pretty funny. They just didn't give a fcuk because finally they could have at it. In real time it was probably not even 15 seconds of real time dreaming.

The Oilers have been officially eliminated from playoff contention, despite having two 100 point scorers in McDavid and Draisaitl. Who was the last team to miss the playoffs with two 100+ point scorers? (I think wolfman will know this one)

Quebec: Sakic and Sundin? Or earlier Stastny and Goulet? Not them. Trying to think who could have had 2 100 point scorers in recent times. Can't be that many. And of those who wouldn't have made the playoffs. Pens have made the playoffs every year. Could it be the Caps or are we going way back?

Think a little before that.
