Don Ameche playing against himself in That Night in Rio 1941, in an earlier version Maurice Chevalier did the same in Folies Bergère de Paris 1935, and in a later version, On the Riviera 1951, Danny Kaye did the same, all three based on the same play, The Red Cat.

Speaking of Danny Kaye... Wonder Man (no relation to Wonder Woman, lol) is great fun and features several highly entertaining musical numbers.

In one of my two favorite Buster Crabbe Westerns (the other is TERRORS ON HORSEBACK) -- he plays two roles:
PRAIRIE RUSTLERS (1946) -- recurring character 'Billy Carson' (no relation to 'Kit') and his evil lookalike cousin 'Jim Slade' (who keeps robbing banks that Billy keeps getting blamed for).

Tobias Menzies as Frank Randall/Captain Jonathan 'Black Jack' Randall in the TV series Outlander. As loathsome as Black Jack Randall was, I felt Tobias Menzies made him totally compelling. Although I hated seeing everything he did to Claire and Jamie (and others), I just couldn’t help but be captivated by Menzies in the role. It’s so weird watching a character do things that would make you not want to watch, but he commanded the screen so much I couldn’t help it. Unlike a lot of people (seemingly), I also really liked his other role as Frank Randall. He did do things in Seasons 2 and 3 which made me like him a bit less, but in Season 1 I totally sympathized with him and found his scenes interesting (whereas I know others were probably itching to get back to Jamie). While I completely believed Menzies in his role as BJR, and that his character was devoid of anything that made him ‘human’, I also completely bought him in the role of Frank and his undying love for Claire. His two characters were complete opposites, but both felt ‘real’ - which was quite a feat, especially in the case of BJR, who could’ve become over-the-top-/cartoonish, but I thought Menzies showed nuances in his monstrous character. I thought he was exceptional in his dual roles and I personally believe he should’ve at least gotten an Emmy nomination, as should have Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan, as the three of them gave it their 'all' in their performances and I haven’t watched anything as impressive in quite a while.
