Thibs fired from Minny
Wow.
Thought KAT was playing better after the Butler trade.
Think after the trade they were like 1 or 2 games over .500 (not including their record with Butler). like 14-12 or something.

what are the recent rumors with Leonard?
still heading to the Clips or staying in Toronto?
had no clue Lowry was on his way out - or are you insinuating he won't be around longer because he's getting up there in age?
signed a huge contract - PGs tend to hit the wall in their young 30s
Lowry feels like he's nearly one foot out the door already. He didn't love how DeRozan was handled. Fact is fact. Clippers would be ideal for Leonard. LA but without all the Hollywood bs. The Clippers would be wise to sell the farm for him, & even rebrand themselves once & for all instead of LA's other team with stupid logos & unis. I still think the Raptors make the Finals, & could win a couple games... hoping to steal the other 2 for a title.

Former Rookie of the Year 'cut'
MCW - winner of Rookie of the Year I 2014 was just traded by the Rockets to the Bulls before being bought out - and then 'cut' by the Bulls.
Amazing with this kid with his length hasn't managed to at least hold onto a 2nd/3rd String PG role. Horrific shot - but could at least stabilize himself as a cutthroat defender who's able to shut down wings on the perimeter as well due to his length despite being a PG. Has bounced around for the past 5 years after winning ROY.

anybody see the 'disagreement' between kyrie and gordo last night?
celts lose to the magic.
they're like 25-17.
curious to see if they make a trade (i.e. a big one - like if they fear kyrie is going to walk - get a big and assets for him)

Theres a very interesting article by a Philadelphia sports personality who is quite knowledgeable about basketball published today who states the Sixers should trade Butler before the deadline.
To call a spade a spade - he's a very good player. He's not the superstar I expected.
They traded 2 starters - above average players - Saric and Covington - for a 'very good player' while they were already 'thin'.
The author goes on to state there's been disruptions with Embiid, Brown, Simmons came out after the loss against the Hawks stating they were 'soft' - team has a completely different 'negative' vibe so to speak.
Apparently the Rockets were reportedly offering 4 1st Round picks for Butler to the Wolves - would this still be on the table?
I'd like to see this work - I like Butler. A good player - the problem is a majority of the roster is trash and you need to surround him, Simmons and Embiid with some talent. Curious to see what the buyout period and trade deadline brings and if Fultzy and Zhaire come back.

They lose some games, have a team meeting, then win 8 in a row. The win against Indiana, they looked like the Brady Bunch, they were all smiles and hugs. Then they lose two in Florida, and now it's all bitching and moaning again. We're halfway home, and this team is still way too inconsistent, on and off the court. Some of that is the players but some now has to fall on Brad Stevens. It's time he has to get a hold on this team.

What's with Toronto's "We the North" crap?
Seattle is by far the northernmost NBA city. Portland is 2nd. Minneapolis is 3rd. Toronto is at the same latitude as Boise.

GSW is just 1 point fav against Denver. I am a bit surprised at that. Had I any money in my account I might have put a few on GSW. Is there really any issue with the Celtics. believe they should be fine come playoff time.
And Timberwolves take on Butler (76ers) tonight. Will Wolves want to win it?

I knew what was coming to Denver. I wish I had some money in my bet365 account to throw on warriors as I had proposed.
So Raptors@Celtic tomorrow. Celtics are 2.5 points fav.
@screamingtreefrogs
Are you keeping an eye on two of your closest rivals? Is Celtics going to be alright come the playoff time? I believe so.

we shall see come the end of the trade deadline and buyout period as of now - even though the Celts are behind them in the Standings - #5 I believe and Sixers are #4 - the Celts have their #. Sixers don't match up well when considering Wings. it was evident last playoff series and this year. they just signed Corey Brewer to a 10 day. not enough. need to make a move(s). need help in the following areas if they want to go to the Finals - backup PG who can pop a pullup jumper and run the point to spell Simmons. backup '2' or '3' - i.e. a 3&D wing who plays great perimeter 'D' and can pop a trey. starting '4' - Chandler and Moose are ghosts more often than not and then show up a game or 2 out of every 5 (Bolden is growing but he's young) a backup '5' to give Embiid some rest. As for the Raps - they've got the Sixers # too. I can't see the Sixers as presently constructed beating the Raps, Bucks, Celts or even Pacers in a 7 game series. Need 'help'.

One good thing about 76ers this season is that they are too dominant at home. If they can remain so dominant and try to get to seed 3 or so then they could end up being in eastern confrence finals.
Brewer is a terrible shooter. Yes, I do appreciate the energy that he brings to the team and may be he can be of some value to 76ers from bringing more life point of view. But never trust him as a shooter.
If they can get Fultzy in time and he is playing according to his initial promise or anywhere near that then 76ers could be a big threat. Right now it seems Raptors are slightly at advantage.

any 'real' Cavs fans here - i.e. just not 'holdovers' from he LeBron days.
intrigued on what's going on with Kevin Love and his 'nagging injury' - i.e. if those in Cleveland feel it's legit or if it's the Cavs in tank mode.
atrocious contract - but he's just what the Sixers need since they lost Saric and Ily at that '4' - an upgrade not counting injury issues - a PF who can stretch the floor and knock down an outside jumper but can hold position down low.
curious if he was healthy -
Simmons Redick Butler Love (healthy) Embiid
That wins the East to me - despite a weak bench - just have to hope the Landry's of the world step up and Tee-Jay's heart can carry the backup PG role.
No news on Fultzy - which is alarming/concerning. Rumors were swirling they'd be looking to deal him before the deadline - would clear about $9 mil in cap space - you've got trash falling off the books at the end of the year like Amir - so if the Sixers maxxed Butler - they'd still have room for another Max free agent by jetsoning Fultzy, saying sayonora to Amir and other 1 years.....
but I'm curious if Fultzy and 2021 Miami #1 could get a healthy Love if the Cavs are in tank mode and looking to shed that contract and collect assets.

I guess Celtics fans find things a bit better after tonights win. I already said in my previous post that I wouldn't be too worried if I were a Celtics fan. They are a good team and have a good coach.

Too bad for Philly that Westbrook fouled out. You know he wouldn't have deferred to Paul George and he'd have blown it at the end.

Too bad for Philly that Westbrook fouled out. You know he wouldn't have deferred to Paul George and he'd have blown it at the end. great game. PG13 stepping up yet again - after jimmy buckets put the Sixers ahead. thunder have like the longest unbeaten streak against a team in the NBA - Sixers - it's either 19 or 20 now. there's legitimate beef between Embiid and Westbrook after I thought it was squashed last year. found it hysterical after the foul Westbrook put on this fake drama queen act (and I know Embiid is a troll) as if he was hurt than this tough guy act as if he was going to go after Embiid........ would be a fun Finals dependent on what goes on at the trade deadline/buyout period. like the Celts - the Sixers hang in there with the Thunder until the closing seconds - but can't seem to pull out a win........

Shroeter came in for Russ and his turnover led to the go-ahead bucket, so I guess Russ wouldn't have had the same chance to blow it.
