rather abysmal performance in the 1st half. pacers with an equally abysmal performance in the 2nd - their free throw shooting was atrocious. #3 seed in the east now. let's stay there. dodge Boston in the first round I have had enough of this nonsense from many of the 76ers fans that apparently Embiid and Simmons are players of the same caliber or that Simmons is better. Bullshit. Simmons is just a superstar level player. Embiid is one of his kind. The one who possibly win things for a team. No comparison. Stop with the farce. Embiid is a megastar star. Simons is just a superstar/another all-star.
Sixers fans do not think this. If anything, Simmons does not get nearly enough credit for what he does. Most Sixers fans hate on him non-stop and it gets annoying. I have never talked to one Sixers fan who thinks he is better than Embiid. I am honestly probably the biggest Simmons fan out there. I love the guy. Still, Embiid is not just the Sixers best player. He is BY FAR their best player. They went 4-4 without him and you could tell they were lucky to get the 4 wins. The Sixers are still fine offensively without him. Sure, their offensive net rating dips, but they can still get it done. It is the defensive end where he is missed. Our defensive net rating drastically changes when he is off the floor and we also give up a ton more offensive boards. The Sixers look lost underneath without him. Hopefully, he can stay healthy the rest of the season because this starting 5 needs to develop chemistry. This was only their second full game together. If they can develop that chemistry over the final 16 games, then they can beat anyone in the East.

With Bagley seemingly out due to that knee injury, and the white nationalist Utah Jazz making some space in the win column, it looks like the Sacramento Kings cinderella run is at its end. Pour one out for Sactown, boys.

Other than the Heat (32-35) at #8 in the East with a 2 game lead on Orlando and Charlotte, it's looking like the playoff teams are set.
Orlando (30-37) 2 back of Miami, 3 in the loss column, but they are 2-1 vs Miami with 1 game left with them in Miami.
Charlotte (31-38) 2 back of Miami, also 2-1 vs Miami with 1 game left with them in Miami.
If Detroit (34-33) plays like their last 2 games, though.

James Harden is the first Player with at least 41 points, 11 assists, 9 rebounds, 6 steals, 3 blocks!
He is now 0.03 steals per game away from being the steal leader in the league.

Last game over 50% shooting: Feb 4, vs Phoenix. Just devil's advocating

coming down to crunch time. under 15 games to play for some. east bucks raps sixers pacers celts pistons nets heat west warriors nuggets rockets blazers thunder spurs jazz clips Magic only a game out of the playoffs - I'm sure a healthy Fultzy would catapult them into the 8th spot; however I'm sure they want to be careful with him - i.e. their reasoning for 'shutting him down' this season - you don't want to mess with the long term success one could have on your team like a healthy Fultzy

Nuggets are frauds. Celts will feel happy to take on Pacers. 76ers should be fine with any of those bottom 3. Playoffs will start soon.

Brogdon out 6-8 weeks with a plantar fascia tear, so likely out until the 2nd round of the playoffs. Big hit.

Westbrook got his 16th tech - not one that will be rescinded. So he'll be getting a mandatory day of rest.
He was absolute crap last night. At one point, went back into the tunnel - they thought he was headed to the bathroom. But he just put his hands on his legs for a while and came back.
7 points, 0-7 on 3s. 2-16 overall. A triple single. 5 Fouls.
Warriors shared the rebounding last night 8 - Green, Cousins, Thompson 7 - Curry, McKinnie 6 - Cook

bucks are cold
sixers up 12 in the 4th
I'm thinking this isn't a typical bucks display and they're missing Brogdon?
not a great showing by the Sixers by any means - just hoping they don't collapse come closing minutes which they have a tendency to do dependent on coaching decisions/matchups by Brown in the closing minutes

jesus.
any of these 2 teams for being 2 of the top in the East know how to slow it down and 'run a play' instead of just haphazardly launching a shot - with no offensive rebounders in the vicinity -
proud Brown just called a T.O. there.......
hey asshats - you don't launch a 3 when your 4 other teammates are still lagging behind in the background - Christ I hate this bench.

Jimmy Butler is a hardcore dick - shows '0' emotion to congratulate his teammates and when he's hot and his teammates congratulate him he's on his own island and could care less and ignores them.....
Get this guy off my team. Re-Sign Harris and go after another topnotch free agent this summer
He's saying the right things behind the scenes and after games because he's a free agent this summer and doesn't want to appear to be a malcontent again.

good road win against the top seed in the east now take care of the Celts on Weds You guys have beaten the Warriors and Bucks in their buildings, yet are 0-3 against us, including a game in Philly. You're damn right Wednesday is a HUGE game for the Sixers. You have to beat the Celtics. Otherwise, we just laugh and laugh and laugh......
