Russell was not only a genius at painting, sculpting, and physics, but spoke from personal experience. A quote from a painter that said "If science knew what LIGHT actually IS, instead of the waves and corpuscles of incandescent suns which science now thinks it is, a new civilization would arise from that fact alone." and "Gravity and radiativity are opposite pressure conditions. They perpetually void themselves by giving to the other."? ^^^Laughter of an ignorant fool.

You simply don't understand that 'awareness' is not the body. It's using the body. In fact, it's outside the body as well. People who know how to meditate have described having their awareness be at a point outside of their body, and feeling more expansive awareness. Yes, the brain and body have 'chemicals', but it's awareness and consciousness that affects them. 'Chemicals' don't create awareness.

The 'quote' was mumbo jumbo unscientific nonsense. The brain is the seat of awareness. It is the master controller of the body and it does this through a VERY complex combination of chemical and electrical interactions. This creates awareness, which is variable. BTW I meditate all the time and my brain and consciousness are in a slightly altered state due to a relaxation techniques and a conscious 'slowing down' and/or blocking of superfluous thoughts. It is nothing mystical nor supernatural, as I am in FULL control at all times. This is, however different to when we are actually asleep, under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, have a mental illness, are anaesthetised, in a coma, or dead. In these cases the brain chemicals and electrical interactions are interrupted in different ways, altering our 'consciousness'. You have it the wrong way around. You CANNOT have awareness without the chemical and electrical interactions, which accounts for the difference in awareness that I outlined, and when the brain dies and these functions don't work anymore, the brain dies, and we die with it because those things don't and CAN'T happen anymore.

The appliance doesn't create the electricity.

NO, YOU are wrong. There is no change of opinion, there is only solid build on build 'knowledge over the past 50 years or so. That you don't know this proves how stupid and anti-intellectual you are. The human body indeed creates electricity. That you don't know this proves how stupid and anti-intellectual you are. You would be dead without the electrical charge that makes your heart beat.

That electrical charge doesn't originate in the body any more than it originates in a refrigerator. Once the soul leaves the body, it dies.

Where does the electricity that powers the heart and brain come from? Where does the electricity that powers anything come from? And why would the brain 'simulate' 360° awareness outside of itself?

How does awareness and consciousness affect them? What does create awareness and how does it do it?

Your tend to ask questions that you think get to the bottom of the problem with someone else's explanation yet they only uncover the problems with your explanations...since you can't answer them either.

Curious that a 360o view is two-dimensional.

Oh, I can answer it all right. I just want goz to think about it. No, you can't. Stop with all this pretense of "I know something you don't know" and get with the meaningful explanations. You backed out of our previous conversation. See if you can make it with this one. I contend you have absolutely NO CLUE how the brain works, no clue how it "communicates" with this other thing you want us to believe exists nor any clue how that other thing works or what it is. I say you have no better clue how to explain consciousness than the person who tends to think consciousness is natural.
Maybe this will be the easier question for you since you seem certain of it. What about nature precludes it being the source and foundation of consciousness?

I never claimed to know how the brain works. Goz and faustus claimed to know that 'brain chemicals' explain everything. I said the brain acts as a receiver.
