One (of many) dumb things about Diamonds are Forever that my Dad pointed out (who saw this in the theater back in the day) was that Blofeld's escape capsule from the oil rig platform relied on someone else to deploy (the crane operator). Plus it was exposed to all sorts of gun and rocket fire and was very slow. Not the best set up for a leader's escape vehicle.

Watching Goldeneye right now (had to switch away from the early bonds for one or two...was getting burned out on that era.)...and i gotta say...theres always been something about Judi Dench that i find arrousing. Maybe its her voice...i dunno. She's always been way old for me...but if she were up for it...

The first Bond movie I watched in theatres was “The Spy who Loved Me” with Roger Moore. I was a teenager and I loved it. I watched all the subsequent ones and tried to catch the older ones whenever possible. Then when VCRs and video rental places became ubiquitous, I was finally able to watch them all.
Much later I bought all the movies on DVD and watched them again, in order and from the beginning. Most of them didn’t age very well at all. Movies that I had loved as a teenager and young adult now had me cringing.
I still watch every new James Bond that comes out (and probably will do until the series is cancelled, or I die, or they make Bond gay or transsexual), but they rarely impress me anymore, let alone blow me away like the last ‘Mission Impossible’ movie did.

Goldeneye...its up there. One of my faves so far. Liked the action sequences, villains all were memorable, Bond girls were hot...Brosnan was good. Nice combo of charm and effectiveness. He was the most familiar bond to me prior to starting this endeavor tho so i kind of knew what i was getting out of him. Some of the music and effects feel far more dated than they probably should tho. Not fun dated like the older films but like bad cgi era dated. But overall i liked this one a lot...and Xenia Onatopp was sexy as hell.

Thunderball...All in all pretty good...but feels just a hair too long. Could’ve cut some stuff out. I actually really enjoyed the running underwater theme, even tho I didn’t expect to. It made for some unique action sequences.

In lieu of the current polls...started this thread last year when I did a big Bond marathon for the first time. Didn’t get around to all of them but I watched a bunch.
I’ve seen more than are on this list tho. I need to update it.
