She wanted a character who could wipe the floor with Thanos and make all the men look weak. I loved the 'Just a Girl' scene and suspect she's the sort who still hasn't grasped the concept of irony.
I'm pleased she was disappointed, I doubt I would have liked it if she had gotten what she wanted.

It was okay. Captain Marvel was a girl for some r eason. The beginning was quite boring, but once the action moved to earth it was more amusing. The cat was the best character.

I can't stand Zimmer inspired music.
Hundra should be required viewing for SJW directors.

it was very disapointing and boring for the most part. almost walked out several times. horribly boring and dragged out exposition. Agreed. The first half of the movie kept jumping from 1 place to another place and was just a disjointed and convoluted mess. Brie Larson's performance was wooden and robotic. And there's no character development or personality to the Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel character.

I despised Justice League and Aquaman. DC's are worse than Marvels. So very true.

It was serviceable but it will be easily forgotten in a few months time.

As a sci-fi / comic book stuff junkie, I had very high expectations for this movie... and it exceeded all of them because it's a phenomenal movie.

It's certainly not disappointing Disney, lol.

No it was amazing. The first half of the movie keeps jumping from 1 place to another place Wow the story had multiple locations? Imagine that... and is just a disjointed and convoluted mess. It wasn't disjointed nor convoluted. It was smooth and elegant. Brie Larson's performance is wooden and robotic. No she's actually very likeable. She's a professional soldier that takes her mission and potential threats seriously but aside from that she does show a lot of personality, particularly as she regains her memories. And there's no character development or personality to the Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel character. She changed allegiances as she regained her memories and learned more about her allies and enemies and realized each was the opposite of what she had been told for six years. You're just a boring troll and hater making up garbage. Get a fucking life.

I have literally no interest in seeing this in theaters or ever for that matter. Just looks generic as hell (as most MCU movies are)

I'm not much of a cinema-goer and it takes something special to get me to go these days. I'll definitely check this one out on DVD at some point, but can't pretend it fills me with much enthusiasm. Still, there are plenty of weak MCU movies that it could easily outclass.

it was very disapointing and boring for the most part. almost walked out several times. good last 15 minutes. horribly boring and dragged out exposition. I do somewhat agree but Fury and Talon the Skrull kept it engaging for me. I understood that Carol Danvers has memory loss so Brie Larson's performance didn't seem to be engaged emotionally. The only time she did light up as a character was when she finally reunites with Maria Rambeau all the way to the end. I'm not sure how I would score it but probably about a 7.5. Sam L. Jackson and Ben Mendehlsohn were the MVPs and Goose the Cat was awesome.

This is great analysis from an MCU fan. I can find 15 of those for any DCEU movie, but what's the point?
