Out of the four Avengers movies, three of them have received vast praise and then there was Age of Ultron which I think people did like but now it seems to clearly stick out as being the weak link of the series.
Do you think Age of Ultron is actually the worst of the four?
I'd say it was, I dunno it didn't seem to click in the same way. It did have the best trailer though.

Yes, though I still think it's great. It's probably an 8/10 for me while the rest are 9s at least.

For me personally, anyways. That doesn't mean it's bad, just that it didn't knock it out of the park. By the end, I thought it was suffocating under the weight of its own ambitions. Looking back though, it's easier to enjoy on multiple viewings because there really is a lot of movie in it. Almost too much movie. But it's great to have on to pass the time.
But by default it's the worst of the four. For me, I didn't love Ultron's personality. I thought it was goofy and he kept losing me between sounding like his most menacing self and the small traces of James Spader that got through. I also didn't like Quicksilver. Banner and Natasha didn't work for me, which is too bad because they're both good actors with good chemistry and I just didn't believe it. I thought the brief scene between Hulk and Black Widow on the jet screen in Ragnarok did more for their relationship then their scene in Hawkeye's guestroom.
Age of Ultron's fine. Just not my favorite. It still has all the Avengers in it.

I guess it's the Temple of Doom or Attack of the Clones of the series. Then again I like all three so hell do I know?

It's one of the few Marvel movies that I flat-out didn't like.

It's better than the first one.

I know people were disappointed with Ultron. I'm not overly familiarity the character in the comic but the trailers were pretty dark and Ultron made out to a certain kind of character that he then wasn't in the movie.
They made him more humourous and quipy and people didn't like that.
Maybe he should been more like Thanos.

I still think AoU is better than people give it credit for, but yes it's at the bottom of the 4 Avengers movies. Right now my ranking is:
1. Avengers 2. Infinity War 3. Endgame 4. AoU
Avengers and IW can switch places back and forth on any given day depending on how I feel.
If we included Civil War it would end up in 3rd place.

They made him more humourous and quipy and people didn't like that. Maybe he should been more like Thanos. I get what they were going for; they didn't want Ultron to be yet another soulless automaton. Hal 9000, the Terminator, Agent Smith, etc. That's been done to death. But they took it too far in the other direction and made him a goof. If the villain isn't menacing at all, he just isn't going to work. Even Loki could be menacing when he wanted to be. AoU could've used a few less jokes by Ultron as well as the heroes. Cap makes far too many quips in the battle of Sokovia. There are a few clunky scenes with odd character and dialog choices, like the scene directly following Ultron's first appearance and then again when they're creating Vision. In retrospect (and maybe this has been answered in the commentary, special features or interviews with those in the know), I've always been curious as to what Ultron actually knew regarding Thanos. He makes some cryptic comments about God winding up to take out humanity and how the planet will be better off if the only living things are metal. The action is solid and I'm one of the few who loves the stuff on the farm (minus the shoehorned Thor infinity stone hot tub quest). The scene of the team coming together to defend the doohickey at the end was the highwater mark for Avengers 'nerdgasm' moments for me until Avengers Assemble in Endgame.

It's the worst, but EndGame is the worst written and filled with plotholes and conveniences

All four are 10/10 so you can't say one is worse than another.

I actually rewatched it last night. It's fun, but not much more. The characters are all written with Joss Whedon's voice, which wears very thin. And it lacks the energy of the first movie. I enjoy it for what it is though.

Yeah but that's like talking about whichever Victoria Secrets model is the least hot. It's all subjective, and even then still better than the majority.

While I like the movie quite a bit, I agree it’s the weakest of the 4.

Why would anyone agree to that when it's clearly the Hulk.
I mean Age of Ultron sucks too but not even close.

1. Age of Ultron A+ 2. Infinity War A 3. The Avengers A 4. Endgame A
What can I say, I'm a sucker for cinematic journeys over payoffs. IW has more Brolin/Thanos than EG. The Avengers has Loki & Fury. EG while excellent just feels the safest.
