Both 10/10 but I'd rank First Contact slightly higher. It was the crowning achievement of the TNG era movies and possesses a truly epic scope and feel.

Wrath of Khan is my favorite Star Trek film, so I'm going with Wrath of Khan.

First Contact had a lot of boring bits, as someone else said the Earth bits were just purile
What did everyone think of the new Khan movie? You know the one with Benedict - different take but I thoroughly enjoyed it

Wrath of Khan. I do like First Contact, but I thought the Borg Queen ruined the Borg. Also, as has been said, it does have it's slow parts.

Personally, my favourite is Star Trek : The Motion Picture. I can understand why it's not popular, but I adore it. IMHO, the worst thing about Star Trek: The Motion Picture, was the 15-30 minutes or so with the Enterprise just flying through V'GER. While it was pretty to look at for a few seconds, 15-30 minutes of it was one of the most boring things I have ever seen in a movie. If that had been significantly cut down, the movie would have been much better. I think Star Trek FC was probably the best Star Trek film I have ever seen, but Star Trek II: TWOK was a VERY close second. I also enjoyed Star Trek III: TSFS. It was more of a continuation of II, than a sequel. I love the main musical theme that was used for both II & III.

Actually that sequence lasts for 4 minutes and 10 seconds.

I must like 'First Contact' better, because I re-watch it often, and have only re-watched 'Khan' once.

I'm one of those Trek fans that enjoyed all the movies for what they're worth but these two are imo the best, easily. That said, which is better? My vote goes to First Contact, damn fine directing from Frakes with a solid script and good action. Not even close...Wrath of Khan has an incredibly literate script. Well, it's Moby Dick in space.

Not even close...Wrath of Khan has an incredibly literate script. Well, it's Moby Dick in space. Yes, there are certain elements from Moby Dick, but there is also a theme that runs through it about rebirth that is essentially the same as A Tale of Two Cities. Both books are quoted in the film. I think the allusions to Dickens was the result of Nicholas Myer's un-credited re-write of the screenplay.

I find all Trek movies to be dumbed down, mediocre byproducts; the shows are what defines Trek and where it truly excells.
That being said, I think that Khan and First Contact are pretty on par, and quite solid movies.

Definitely Khan. First Contact is the best of TNG films but that's not saying a whole lot.
