I know that over time, The Popularity of "AVATAR" has decreased a bit but still.....I think that the Entire Final Battle Sequence at the End of that Movie (Every Battle and Fight both in the Air and on the Ground) has got to be 1 of the Best Final Battle Scenes that I have ever seen in a Science Fiction Movie.
It also went very well with Great Acting Performances from Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, and Michelle Rodriguez in the Entire Sequence as well.
What does everybody else here think ?

It's what everybody paid tickets to see. It's an excellent action scene.

I am a fan of the movie. I like the story (I don't care how unoriginal it is), The cgi is great, the world building is great, the score is very good, it's a beautiful looking movie and it has some awesome action scenes.
Stephen Lang and Zoe Saldana are quite good, but I can't say the same about Worthington and Rodriguez.

I wanted Stephen Lang to win.
"But I got a word of warning for all you would-be warriors. When you join my command, you take on debit. A debit you owe me personally. Each and every man under my command owes me one hundred Na'vi scalps. And I want my scalps. And all y'all will git me one hundred Na'vi scalps, taken from the heads of one hundred dead Na'vi. Or you will die tryin'."

It also went very well with Great Acting Performances from Sam Worthington.... I always thought Worthington was a bit of a charisma vacuum in the film

I agree with you, the final battle scene is pretty spectacular. It's a good movie.

Oh no doubt about it anthonyrocks . The 3rd act alone is why we go to the movies . I remember seeing it in IMAX 3D and was in awe of the final battle (esp the fights in the air). As well as the herd of animals crashing the battle on the ground too .
Say what you want about James Cameron but the dude knows how to direct action scenes .

In real IMAX 3D, it was one of the greatest cinematic experiences of my life.

I still enjoy Avatar, though it feels overweighted with 2 major climaxes - Home Tree & the Tree of Souls battles. When Home Tree drama is built up & burned to the ground, I'm wiped. I usually re-watch over 2 days, special edition blu.

In real IMAX 3D, it was one of the greatest cinematic experiences of my life. Yep. 2 of the most surreal instances I'll never forget: 1. Jake waking up in the ship upon arrival, floating, the 3D was crystal clear & I felt like an astronaut. 2. End credits, taking off the 3D glasses after such an experience, I actually felt like I'd been in my own Avatar for the movie itself - the glasses off back to reality.

I remember that that opening sequence. I want to do it again. If they do an Avatar Double Feature in real IMAX 3D, I'll spend all day with Avatar and Avatar 2 well worth the money

LOL, I actually remember when My Brother got back from seeing the Movie (he saw it a few days after I did), I asked him what he thought of it to which he replied "Too Much CGI" to which I then paused for a moment (while my brain recovered from the instant malfunction that his answer gave to me) and then I said back to him "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU THINK YOU WERE GONNA SEE ?".

I wish Cameron had more likable characters in his movies. It might make the (mostly) beautifully filmed action hit a little harder.

When it comes to his other Films, Anybody who thinks that the characters Ripley, Hicks, and Hudson from "ALIENS" were Not Likeable Characters clearly just does not like movies PERIOD!

Well Now Here is a Deleted Scene from "AVATAR" that I wish they had finished and kept in the Movie.
It basically shows how the Human Base Fell to the Avatars right after Colonel Quaritch (Stephen Lang's character) and All of His Military Units, Ships, Choppers, and Soldiers were all defeated in the Final Air and Ground Battle at the end.

Model ships on strings. Puppet aliens maybe.

Though I wouldn't class myself of a fan of the movie in general, I do agree that the final battle sequence was its highlight and that it was very well put together.
