I'm very curious to find out is there anybody here who is atheist/not religious who refuses to touch those things?
When I was a kid growing up we saw them advertised on TV with all the other toys and games and they were for sale in the JC Penney Christmas wish book in the game section, and my mother told us that those things are evil, and at the time she was the only person we knew who said so, but it was good enough for us. And when I was growing up the general consensus was it's just a harmless toy (and yet since the 80s we have this little charm to remember when people say that, no, not Chucky, remember this one?)
And when I saw that movie, I never got how centuries old magic meshed with mass production factory toys, these days though it doesn't seem quite as nutso. But I digress, I've noticed a real shift in people's attitudes about ouija boards over the years, now the two most common sides seem to be divided up between 'how to SAFELY use it', vs. 'avoid it like the plague', I don't see a big middle ground of 'it's just a toy' anymore. So I'm curious, anybody here who doesn't believe in demons or hell or evil spirits and still won't ever use one?

I'd do it for the lulz. But I don't fancy splurging money out just to get a Ouija Board. That would be silly.
What I would splurge on would be my fave childhood board games.
Or another childhood one I owned. Which should not be a big surprise.
I never got this though, but wanted it

I wasn't that fond of Halloween 3.
But it was at least trying something different. Of the shit that followed, I did quite like the more recent Halloween, though it ignores all of the sequels. Again.

Like all your threads, this one is the usual standard of total bollocks.
I don't believe in evil spirits, demons or hell and I have never even thought to play with a Ouija board because it is superstitious nonsense, and I would prefer to play spin the bottle.
At least I get kisses!
Wait! I lie!
Once at a party we played strip Ouija with shots and the evil spirit definitely got into me!

They once interviewed a professional insect wrangler on the old "Tonight Show".
She specialized in handling cockroaches. Her main tool was a hairdryer.
Wait, in the interest of paranormal science; how does one play "strip Ouija"?

We had one when I was a kid. My mom was a bit of a believer in paranormal whatnot, but none of us ever saw anything 'psychic' or supernatural in anything from it message-wise. I suspect whatever information one obtains from the thing is probably largely driven by the user's subconscious (that is, when they're not just manually pushing the planchette around); I know we got bored with it pretty quickly and I don't recall ever really using it that much.

Well I am a Catholic, so I am not exactly the type of person the OP wants a answer from, but ill make a quick statement... it's pretty clear cut they should be avoided as if anything happens it will be of hell and that's obviously a bad thing.
there is no 'safe' way to use them as since if anything happens it's tied to hell, no possible good can come from it. it's like saying there is good witches and bad witches, but none of that matters as all witch type of stuff is tied to the occult which is bad.

where did the angel touch you?
i would have to say that if i were formulating a spiritual belief system i'd lean towards the angels looking like cali surfers with ripped abs as opposed to over stuffed munchkins.

No, but I have it on good authority that bears are catholic and the pope shits in the woods whenever possible.

My mother played with one as a little girl. When I was a kid she bought one and thought it would be fun for us to play with. When my brother and I tried it out, it did nothing. We had been skeptical that it would work. But with my mother and cousin it was spelling out all kinds of answers to questions. My cousin freaked out and refused to continue. My mother was amazed, and amused. It obviously works from the subconscious mind. Nothing occult about it.

The Herald Erjen Can you explain this to me? Saw someone share this on whatsapp. Are the police people in this drama? That was creepy. Hopefully I'm not misunderstanding your question. I don't know that it's rigged, but if it is, then I think it's a mistake to think the police could not possibly be in on it. Police cooperation can be purchased like any other service. EDIT -- Wow. I must have completely missed this thread when it was started.

Of course I agree with you that police can be bought. But I personally think that police was not in it. There must be some scientific reason why that thing kept in motion. The reason was simply not captured on camera. But yeah a bit creepy.
