And yet Joker will still be viewed as the better movie, probably because it is. The RT score might even support that. It’s not, actually. ‘Joker’ currently has 7.62/10 average on RottenTomatoes while ‘Black Panther’ has 8.27/10 and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ has 8.3/10. No, I mean that Joker's negative reviews indicate that this is a more interesting film than another franchise entry anyone just loved unconditionally.

No one cares about woke critics calling the movie dangerous The Academy is never politically correct though. Lest we forget, the most recent Best Picture winner is Green Book, a movie about an African-American struggle that makes a white man the protagonist, written by an Islamophobe, directed by someone who pulls his dick out on set of his movies.

Well, your point was that the score might support that ‘Joker’ is better, but the film has a lower score, and most people would not think that’s a better score than ‘Black Panther’ or ‘Avengers: Endgame’.

The trailers look fucking abysmal so I'm surprised the score is that high.

Most of the negative reviews seem to focus on the film’s supposed immorality. That says more about the times than it does about the quality of the film. Contemporary cinema critics are a notoriously shallow bunch. I wouldn’t trust them.

77% ... ouch! How low can it go before it can no longer be considered a Best Picture contender? I sure hope everyone learned a lesson from the embarrassing Wonder Woman debacle and avoids any premature speculation about Joker being Oscar worthy. Things are looking a bit grim at the moment. The one, and only, superhero movie to have been nominated for Best Picture is also the #1 rated superhero movie on Rotten Tomatoes. That's the bar that has been set. It doesn't look like Joker will be up to it. You are a doofus, mein Herr.

Those 75% positive reviews are almost all 10/10. I'll take that over a 100% movie with only mildly positive reviews.
Try actually reading a few of the reviews. Or just go eat a cupcake.

Update. 69%.
Best Picture talk is looking kinda ridiculous right about now.

Update. 69%. Best Picture talk is looking kinda ridiculous right about now. I think these 2 can happen: 1. It will NOT get Best Picture Oscar nomination. 2. It will get nominations for Best Picture Oscar AND Worst Picture Razzie at the same time. I kind of hope that the 2nd scenario happens because that would be rather hilarious.

A lot of the reviews point out that it basically rips The King of Comedy, it's not all about the immorality.

I haven't seen it or read the reviews but it may not be so accurate considering that some criticised the movie for being dangerous which is kinda ridiculous.

And I hope we all learned a thing from Suicide Squad that RT scores don't determine Oscar nominations. Or Oscar wins. True. Plenty of horrible movie, actors, writers, etc have won Oscars...because it’s not an award for excellence, but a meat show, popularity contest. Well that certainly explains how Crash won Best Picture.

Every time I see or hear this I have to remind myself it's not the Crash that had James Spader and one of the Arquette sisters about people fucking wounds after auto accidents.

Update. 69%. Best Picture talk is looking kinda ridiculous right about now. Update. 68%. Probably won't drop any further. Top Critics seem to really hate it. 44%. That's Justice League bad!
