81 Raiders 82 Cardinals 83 Raiders 85 Cardinals* 89 Athletics 99 Rams 01 Rams** 06 Cardinals 11 Cardinals 19 Blues *Denkinger **Spygate ( Oakland used to be my "American League" teams ) Would it be fair to say the Cardinals won SB 43 because of all the penalties the officials ignored on James Harrison's pick 6?

I have a friend who was born in England and moved to the US in the 1960's. His favorite teams are the Yankees, Celtics, Packers, and Montreal Canadiens.
If you became a sports fan in the 60s and chose those teams, you could not be a bigger frontrunner.
To his credit, though, he is still a fan of all 4 of those teams. I still give him shit about all those bandwagons he jumped on when he came to the States. 😁

Maybe the Chargers should’ve joined the NFC instead and been Seattle....

The Fresno Chargers, Flagstaff Chargers, Reno Chargers, Bismarck Chargers, El Paso Chargers, Tacoma Chargers....they all have a nice ring to them.

The Breakers in the now defunct USFL played in Boston, New Orleans, and Portland, Ore. in the leagues 3 years.

Or maybe tweak the uniform until something sticks. I think we’ve had just about every possible combination of White, Dark Blue and Powder Blue, with gold trim, possible. Maybe we should do what I’ve long thought they were planning - completely ripping off UCLA.....

Miami Marlins won 2 titles when they were the Florida Marlins.
Florida Gators football and basketball have won titles, the most recent being Gators football in 2008.
Atlanta Falcons should’ve won Super Bowl 51, but as of now, zero titles.

The powder blues are one of the best uniforms in sports, same with the lightning bolts. The uniforms haven't been the main problem.

While it must be nice to be a Boston fan the past 20 years, I believe that if your teams aren't the Yankees or some other 'dynasty' you appreciate winning a championship more. Of the 4 major sports, 3 of my teams have won titles in my lifetime. They are: Philadelphia Flyers-1973-74/1974-75(been to the finals 6 times since and have lost all 6) Philadelphia Phillies-1980, 2008(lost World Series in 1983, 1993, 2009) Philadelphia 76ers-1967(I don't really count this as I was 2 when this happened), 1983(lost in the finals 4 other times) St. Louis/Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals-No titles(lost Super Bowl 43) So, all of my teams have had their chances. This doesn't count the semi-finals losses. Of dynasty teams, the only fans of these teams I know of are bandwagon jumpers. I used to work with a guy that whoever won the Super Bowl, that was his team the following year. And he would talk trash like he was a fan forever. I do know of people who started rooting for a team because they were winning titles but at least stuck with them thereafter. The sad thing with me is that I have seen only 1 title as an adult and that was the 2008 Phillies. The Sixers won the title the day before my 18th birthday. There are minor league or rogue league teams I root for that have won titles like the Philadelphia Phantoms of the AHL or the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League or even the Philadelphia Stars of the USFL but of the 4 major sports, I only have 5 titles to speak of. What about y'all?(Yes, soccer titles in Europe count) What is the fourth major sport? Maybe it matters to you and other hockey fans but it doesn't matter to me since Wisconsin does not have a NHL team. And even if we did, fuck em. I don't give a shit about hockey. And your list excludes college sports since our town is one of the Big 10 teams that has been to the Rose Bowl and won it. Now as for the pro sports that matter the most over stupid hockey. Packers. 13 times NFL champs which means the Cheatriots are not even half as good. Brewers and Bucks have blown it in playoffs and the big games so they have some catching up to do with our religious sport of football.

Being a Bostonian, I'm spoiled, wasn't like that in my younger years since I wasn't a basketball fan.
Still hoping to see the Revolutions win a title, they've gotten to the final game and lost at least twice.

Can't shed any tears for the Wanderers. As bob said, won the AFC Champions league (only Aussie team to do so) and were also Minor Premiers once or twice, which counts as a championship in soccer.
Chargers, for mine, are the NFL equivalent of North Melbourne in the AFL: a consistently respectable team who no one outside of a small fan base cares about. Except at least North had the 70s and 90s and even then had one of the lowest attendance and memberships in the AFL.

And on the Tigers, there's a good special on the ABC Listen App (no commercial affiliation) featuring Steve Roach, Benny Elias and Paul Sironen about 1987-89 run of course focusing on the 89 Grand Final. I'd forgotten about Blocker's suspension in the 1988 fibals series. I got a nostalgia kick listening to it.

This is rough for me as my lifetime doesn't really measure up to when I became a fan so I don't claim to "own" certain championships as I never technically saw them happen.
For the record, I am a Packers and Braves fan. Odd, I know. However growing up in Iowa you have no regional team really. I became a baseball fan first and my Dad tried SO hard to make me a Cardinals fan so much that I refused. Braves were nationally televised at the time on TBS so to be different I liked them. I became a Braves fan in 1998-ish so I never experienced the 95 world series despite being alive. So to me, I've never experienced a Braves world championship. Just....disappointment.
The Packers are weird. I would watch football growing up and I always enjoyed watching Brett Favre but I never would commit to a team. I thought the Packers jerseys were ugly so when I got jerseys they'd be jersey's I liked...hence I had an Eddie George and Jeavon Kearse Titans jersey. I liked the jersey's but never committed to a fandom. It wasn't until college when I was like 18 I just said, fuck it, I love Brett Favre so I'm committing to this team (the Packers). So I never experienced the Packers Favre super bowl win either. Which I will not claim to.
So as a fan...the only Championship I can stake claim to is the Packers in 2011. I was at a party with plenty a couple of Steelers fans, mostly unbias fans, and myself the only Packers fan and I enjoyed the hell out of it. Won a ton of money as we bet on things like Gatorade color, first touchdown etc. I think I went like 4/5 winning things like Gatorade color, First TD, MVP, etc.

To add to my above post, I also find it weird when fans try and brag about championships that happened long before they ever became fans. Like I said, I won't own the Braves 95 World Series or the Packers 97 Super Bowl. So you most likely won't see me owning the Packers 13 Championships. If they won it before you were a fan than imo you can't take claim to it.
