There are an estimated 400 billion birds living on 🌍. Anywhere from 40-60 birds for every living person. When was the last time you saw a dead bird? And don't tell me you see dead birds all the time. I leave my house every fucking day to go to work. I never see any dead birds. So where are they? Birds die just like everything else. So I ask you, where are all the dead birds? Where are they?

Also, dying birds probably go to fresh water sources, like streams, creeks, rivers, so yeah, their journeys probably often end there, or your front doorstep if you have a cat who's a great mouser with no mice to kill (that happened when I was 3).

I tried moving it to the very center of the yard so the birds could see them coming, but it made no difference. I eventually just dismantled it. Then came the snakes...

When you needed to cart the parts away, did you use a one-wheeled wheelbarrow or two?

When I went over to feed a couple of friends' cats I found them in the front room with a live but petrified pigeon in the corner. They must have dragged the poor thing through the cat flap. I picked it up and took it outside where it flew away so I hope it wasn't injured.

He probably survived it all with a cool story to tell his friends in that awesome pigeon speak.

When a bird senses it is about to die, it flies away to the secret bird graveyard so its rotting corpse will not be a bother to anyone. The only dead birds you will see are ones who have died through some sort of misfortune.

Wasn't there a song by Peter, Paul, and Mary about this very subject?
