What guts. What determination. What spirit and fight. What a turnaround late in the 2nd half. We showed the fighting spirit of Philadelphia and brought out the Rocky in all of us. When we were written off by the masses down 17-3 standing at a 5-7 record. We picked ourselves up off the mat and kept swinging - and that right there is what it's all about and put a smile on my face - showing heart, desire, passion and a 'can do' attitude. Well - I'm happy now and content especially after we've been decimated by injuries - and I'm going to embrace this Underdog role of 'Us vs. The World'. Dare I say - anything that happens from here on out - is GRAVVVYY!!!!

I'd have to say I'm more comfortable with the Seahawks rollin' in here game #1 of the Playoffs now.
They just beat us here a couple of weeks back.
That's a pretty tough task to beat an NFL opponent 2 straight times on the road weeks apart in the same season.
I'm liking our chances more and more after the developments of last nights game.

The Seahawks were also the last team to play a first round playoff game against a team with a losing record, and they lost. But there's nothing about last night's game that makes you more confident. The Eagles suck and were lucky to beat the worst team in the NFL and gave the game away more than once to a Giants defense that refused to take it.

Unlike Dalles, the Eagles have beaten two Play-off material teams: the Packers and the Bills. All(!) victories of the Cowboys were against teams which can no longer qualify - save for the eagles in a home game.
Furthermore the Eagles have the easier program left: two non-champs plus the Cowboys at home, while the Cowboys have to face the Rams.
But It will be the one on one game that will decide.

Then, I think, it was several years later that the Panthers had a losing record and hosted the Seahawks and beat them in Carolina. So, I think, the last two teams to host a playoff game with a losing record ended up winning in the first round.

The Panthers went 7-8-1 in 2014 and beat the Cardinals in the playoffs, then lost to the Seahawks. I can see where your signals got crossed.

I could have looked this up, but just relied on my shaky memory. But in that case I was right that the last two losing record playoff teams won the game they hosted.

I learn something new every day. Regardless, every NFC East division game is tough, no matter the records. It has always been this way. The Eagles were down 17-3 and looked like crap. From that moment on, even with a ton of injuries and only ONE WR on the active roster, they dominated the game. The Eagles will probably win the division and host a first round playoff game, as bad as the season has been.

And surviving against them shouldn't inspire much confidence, especially the way it played out. Any junior varsity quality defense would have put them away. Cowboys/Eagles is a toss up. Both teams are weak and both seem to be looking worse towards the end of this season. Whoever wins the head to head matchup will likely take the division, and maybe that'll be the turnaround that team needs. But nothing that you saw from Monday night should be reassuring.

Haven’t you heard? The Cowboys are good. Not just good, they’re great! Jason Garrett, Zeke, Dak, and Witten are going up on Mount Rushmore. I mean they’re actually going to erase the presidents and replace them with Cowboys. Jerry Jones shits gold bricks. They will become the first team to miss the playoffs and still win the Super Bowl. All hail the Cowboys! They are simply better people than us.

The Giants are not the worst team in the league. They are not even the worst team in their own division. Still, you obviously did not watch the game. If you have been watching an Eagles offense who has not been able to effectively move the ball in a month, you would see some progress when they scored 21 straight fairly easily against anyone. Wentz finally looked in command with his throws and the receiver and tight ends were finally catching balls. Make no mistake, this team is not great. They will probably get killed in the playoffs, but I am more confident in their offense today than I was Saturday. If they can come out and dismantle the Redskins, then I will start getting excited. Yes, it is the Redskins, but I am not concerned with the opponent as much as I am evaluating how the Eagles look.

Yes, it is the Redskins, but I am not concerned with the opponent as much as I am evaluating how the Eagles look. The Giants are, indeed, the worst team in the division, conference and league. I didn't watch the game? You obviously haven't been watching the Giants, who can't stop anyone on defense, particularly in the secondary nor in pass rush. The Eagles looked obviously better after half time, but true to form for the Giants, a lot of that was because DBs weren't within 20 yards of the Eagles receivers. You're not gonna regularly get that against teams that aren't the Giants. And Wentz tried to give the game away at least twice in the 4th quarter, and good teams wouldn't let him get away with that. I will make no mistake. The Eagles are not good. But neither are the Cowboys, so they could easily win the division still since the division is altogether pathetic. But I'm not sure which team you're over inflating more, the Eagles or the Giants.
