It's not really a famous quote if you feel the need to add a footnote. Ya jackassssss What? Lol, it's a bit late, but it's in reference to the topic's poll question.

The Seahawks were also the last team to play a first round playoff game against a team with a losing record, and they lost. But there's nothing about last night's game that makes you more confident. The Eagles suck and were lucky to beat the worst team in the NFL and gave the game away more than once to a Giants defense that refused to take it. This Giants are the worst team in the NFL? I learn something new every day. Regardless, every NFC East division game is tough, no matter the records. It has always been this way. The Eagles were down 17-3 and looked like crap. From that moment on, even with a ton of injuries and only ONE WR on the active roster, they dominated the game. The Eagles will probably win the division and host a first round playoff game, as bad as the season has been. Bengals - anyone?!

I'd posit that the Giants have performed worse even if their record is microscopically better.

The Giants are not the worst team in the league. They are not even the worst team in their own division. Still, you obviously did not watch the game. If you have been watching an Eagles offense who has not been able to effectively move the ball in a month, you would see some progress when they scored 21 straight fairly easily against anyone. Wentz finally looked in command with his throws and the receiver and tight ends were finally catching balls. Make no mistake, this team is not great. They will probably get killed in the playoffs, but I am more confident in their offense today than I was Saturday. If they can come out and dismantle the Redskins, then I will start getting excited. Yes, it is the Redskins, but I am not concerned with the opponent as much as I am evaluating how the Eagles look. The Giants are, indeed, the worst team in the division, conference and league. I didn't watch the game? You obviously haven't been watching the Giants, who can't stop anyone on defense, particularly in the secondary nor in pass rush. The Eagles looked obviously better after half time, but true to form for the Giants, a lot of that was because DBs weren't within 20 yards of the Eagles receivers. You're not gonna regularly get that against teams that aren't the Giants. And Wentz tried to give the game away at least twice in the 4th quarter, and good teams wouldn't let him get away with that. I will make no mistake. The Eagles are not good. But neither are the Cowboys, so they could easily win the division still since the division is altogether pathetic. But I'm not sure which team you're over inflating more, the Eagles or the Giants. Not that I really want to step in this, but I found his logic amusing. His argument is that his own terrible team suddenly looked great against your team, while insisting your team isn't as bad as you're suggesting.

Well well well. Looks like there's a chance we may actually get to whip up on the Niners the first playoff game - And there's a chance we get to bounce the Vikings in the playoffs again depending on how the final 2 games play out for all teams. For Jan 4th and Jan 5th - The Weather Channel has a High of 38 and a Low of 22 degrees for both days

That game is pretty much in the bag my friend. That being said the forecast is a balmy high of 45 degrees and a low of 31. It's a 4:25pm game. This city/Tri-State area is going to be lit all week and especially on Sunday going into the late game - this is everything I've ever asked for being a sports fan - our most hated rival is coming in a few days prior to Christmas with the division on the line - Cowboys win - they're in - it's pretty much a playoff game for us. And Dallas is favored rolling in here - I love it

It's just that half of the schedule so far has been a complete aberration. If you take away those 7 losses, why they're 7-0!

As we've done against our hated rivals the last two weeks. Think we cared about the Dolphins and a meaningless AFC game? Pfffft. We're done toying around - the playoffs are pretty much upon and it's time to show the league we mean business.

Yeah, forget the record. They only care about division rivals. They knew all along that a .500 record or less could earn a playoff spot. They lost those games on purpose, and trailed at half time to the awful Giants and in the 4th quarter to the awful Redskins, again on purpose, knowing the excitement that that they could generate... and with that can totally look past these next two games and into the playoffs.

Cowboys are 2.5 pt favorites rolling in here.
Playing the underdog role for the division is a bonus at the last home game at the end of the year IMO - crowd should be rabid, electric and on fire.
RT Lane Johnson (missed last week) - is day to day and WR Nelson Agholor and RB Jordan Howard are questionable.

Spread just hopped up to 3. This is just disrespectful folks. When the Cowboys win, you have to bump this thread every day until the Cowboys are eliminated from the playoffs, and you have to say legitimately nice things about the Cowboys, current cowboys' players, and their fans. Should a miracle happen and the Eagles win, I will do that for the Eagles. Do we have an accord?

If we don't win the division and make the playoffs - I wouldn't be upset at all if the Cowboys put together a miracle run and won it all. Would make the rivalry that much better and make next years NFL season that much more exciting for me being the hated Champs are in our division and we get to play them 2 times next year (possibly 3 if a playoff matchup were to occur). The end of this season pretty much played out exactly how I wanted it - a string of 4 straight division games - all of which were/are 'must win' against our hated rivals to make the playoffs. Only thing that could make this game sweeter IMO is if it were the last game of the regular season and the winner gets in and the loser goes home. But I'm not complaining about going up to New York in a little over a week either in a potential must win situation - as they're hated rival #2 and I have fond memories of the Birds knocking off the GMEN in the Meadowlands. Watching Dak, Zeke and listening to Jerry Jones - reminds me a bit of watching Aikman, Irvin, Smith Jimmy Johnson, etc as a kid - not in the sense they're as successful - but get so much publicity and attention - it's just so easy to dislike them being a Philly fan. This is what I want as a fan - the drama/side story/entertainment - the Cowboys bring that. I don't want a 2-12 team rolling in here at the end of the year - I want this team - they knock us off they're in and we go home and vice versa. Our Super Bowl year the Cowboys rolled in here on New Years Eve already eliminated from the Playoffs and we rested like 80% of the team - it was a meaningless uneventful game that was rather depressing to watch - pretty much a preseason game which was a shame. This game's drama should be off the hook as it should.

DeSean Jackson states he's doing everything he can to make sure he's 110% to come back for an Eagles playoff run.
This would be some Willis Reed legend of lore here - i.e. when Reed came out of the locker room in Game 7 for the Knickerbockers.
D-Jax ripped his stomach off the bone Week 9 of the season and went through 'core surgery'.
What a warrior folks.
