" Green Bay literally only has the Packers, so not there." Sad, but (mostly) true.....and, of course, the weather sucks. BUT, if you're into NFL history, the Packers, as one of the oldest teams in the NFL, have a pretty decent Hall Of Fame located at Lambeau......maybe not on the order of Canton's, but still, pretty good. Oh, and the people in Green Bay are, for the most part, pretty nice.....even to those of you from Minnesota, Detroit, and Chicago (that is, as long as you're respectful, and not acting like a complete jerk when you're there....). I bring the heat wherever I seem to travel. Doesn't matter where or when it always seems to be the 'hottest day in years.' For me San Fran in July was a sunny sweatfest in the day and uncomfortably windy-cold at night.

I'd say Nashville. It is a really beautiful city and not infected with liberals.

Why, hello brand new, perfectly legitimate forum member. I'm deeply honored that you chose my thread as the site of your very first post.

What are your favorite food spots? Besides Hooters, where he was beaten by Patriots fans with golf clubs, and then baseball bats on retelling? Honestly, I was kinda hoping he’d prove us all wrong and give us an actual, human post.

But some people, like Tom Brady and Captain America, just can’t help themselves and always cheat.”

Obviously San Francisco for the weather and the food. What are your favorite food spots? I don't go to gay bars like the one you falsely claimed that you met me at. The San Francisco Bay Area has the best dim sum in the world outside of Hong Kong. I think the best dim sum restaurant is Koi Palace in Daly City. They have a large variety of many different dishes and just about everything is good. It's always crowded and there's always a long wait for an open table, even on weekdays. But they give seating priority to disabled customers so I usually get a table pretty quickly. Also in Daly City, Banana Island in the Westlake Shopping Center is a good place for Malaysia Singapore and Thai food. Kirin on Geary Blvd in the Richmond district is a good place for traditional Chinese dishes. Their daily soup is always good. And I go there often so they always give me an extra serving of the soup. And their complementary taro tapioca dessert is really good. San Tung on Irving St in the Sunset district has a good selection of Schezuwan noodle soups. Their dry fried chicken wings are good. And they make the best fried Potstickers in the city. (The Posticker near the famous Golden Dragon in Chinatown used to make the best fried potstickers and sweet soy bean soup, but unfortunately they closed down many, many years ago.) And farther down on Irving St, Lam Hoa Thaun is a good place for Vietnamese pho noodle soup as well as siu mei (roast duck, soy sauce chicken, BBQ pork, roast suckling pig, roast pork belly, and white cut chicken).

Nice! See, you did it! Isn't this more enjoyable? I don't remember the name of the place I went to for pho in SF, but it was easily the best I've ever had in my life (never been to Hong Kong or anywhere in Asia for that matter). In general, I find all of the Asian cuisines to be vastly superior on the West Coast than here on the East Coast. Sure, we have our share of great sushi places and whatnot, but out there it's just a cut above. Good call on the taro tapioca, that's something I've been able to get here in some spots in Manhattan, it's awesome. I'll definitely have to give that a try next time I'm in Cali. Hogwash isn't a gay bar, dingus. There was an izakaya place around the corner from there that was also really good, I can't remember the name though.

It was a gay bar at the time you falsely claimed to have met me there. It may have changed but I wouldn't know because I don't go downtown much. The traffic downtown is too congested with all the 1-way streets and road work around Union Square. And with all the truck loading zones, it's too hard to find parking downtown. There are a few disable parking spaces, but those always seem to be taken.

But the real question is why are you hanging out in gay bars looking for guys you met on a message board?

As someone who was literally born in San Francisco, of course I'd say SF but if you want to go to a place with great beer, yeah, San Fran is the place. There's a lot of good stuff about the bay area but one of the best is the beer out here.

But the real question is why are you hanging out in gay bars looking for guys you met on a message board? It is Vietnamese, bozo correctly said so. My wife and I travel a lot, and I travel a decent amount for work to conferences. I'll always reach out to posters if they live in the city to see if they're interested in meeting up. Some have accepted, others have openly rejected, and others have just ignored the request. I think I've met about a half a dozen people from this board and its predecessor over the years, most of whom are no longer around. Biggest regret is never having met up with Triple Double, who lives upstate. Twice when we were traveling up that way relatively close to where he was, I reached out to see if he wanted to meet up for a beer and both times he happened to be traveling. That dude is the best, I hope I do get to meet him in person someday.
