Bengals finally cut Dalton. Now Belichick will swoop... I doubt it. Dalton & Cam will probably get advice to hold out until the season when injuries up their value.

Somebody put me out of my misery.
Reports indicating Jason Peters may be back with the Eagles.
Per a respectable reporter here that covers the team and Lane Johnson.
According to NBC Sports Philadelphia's Derrick Gunn (sideline reporter who's the first to have his mic in Eagles faces when they're off the field) it's only a matter of time and there's no way Peters is coming back to be a backup.
This really speaks volumes of how unhappy they must be with Andre Dillard who was picked in the first round of the 2019 Draft to replace him.
WOOOOO - HOOOOO!! Get ready for another season of JP out every other play with nagging injuries and crucial offsides and holding calls killing Eagles drives every game.

The Patriots released their all-decade team the other day. OFFENSEOT Nate Solder OT Sebastian Vollmer G Logan Mankins G Joe Thuney C David Andrews TE Rob Gronkowski WR Julian Edelman WR Wes Welker QB Tom Brady RB James White FB James Develin Flex Danny Amendola DEFENSEDE Chandler Jones DE Trey Flowers DT Vince Wilfork DT Lawrence Guy OLB Rob Ninkovich OLB Kyle Van Noy ILB Dont’a Hightower ILB Jerod Mayo CB Stephon Gilmore CB Malcolm Butler S Devin McCourty S Patrick Chung Special TeamsK Stephen Gostkowski P Ryan Allen RET Julian Edelman SPT Matthew Slater You could switch out a few names on defense, but it really wouldn't matter as only a handful of them would be considered 'elite' throughout the league in their time here. (Hightower, Gilmore, Jones, Mayo, maybe McCourty) There's really no argument against any of those picks. I don't think Van Noy or Butler were particularly good players overall (despite having memorable moments), but it's not like the Patriots had anyone better at those positions in that time. McCourty has had an interesting career. He had an awesome rookie season as a CB, most people don't remember that. Then he couldn't cover a corpse in his second year; he was so bad they had to move him to safety, and he's turned out to be fantastic in that role over the years. The Special teams probably took 15 seconds to decide, I don't need to say much other than Matthew Slater is the greatest special teams player (non-kicker) in history. Honorable mention for this position for the Pats all-decade team goes to Nate Ebner, then probably Brandon Bolden. Now look at the offense. Hilarious, isn't it? Not a lot of wow factor there beyond Brady and Gronk. Hell, the all-decade RB is a 3rd down back who's used as a receiver more than a runner. The 'all-decade' WRs consist of a 5'10" converted college QB, an undrafted guy who hasn't played here since 2012, and a 'flex player' who never cracked 700 yds receiving or 5 TDs in any given season. And I'm not insulting these guys, all of them are among my favorite Pats ever. I'm just pointing out the primary weapons, according to this list, that Brady had on his way to five Super Bowls, three titles and two (meaningless) MVPs this decade. Sure, he had Gronk. Sometimes. Gronk missed half of two seasons and a third of another; he only played 16 games the first two years of his career. He missed 8 games and the entire playoff run which culminated in the greatest Super Bowl comeback of all time. Look at these stats. Tom Brady did that with this group representing the best of what he had to work with. And keep in mind Welker hasn't played here since 2012. The stat that really jumps out at me: Brady threw for more yards in 2019 (he's gone off a cliff, he's terrible) than he did in his 2010 MVP campaign. No shit. He threw for over 4,000 yds to a banged up Edelman (who led the league in drops) two rookies who literally didn't know where to run, and some absolutely useless TEs. Oh yeah, and Mohammed Sanu. What a pickup he was. Can't forget the 6 games Josh Gordon gave us last season, I guess. It's just incredible to me that Brady was able to put up the numbers he did with undersized stalwarts and a revolving door of third receivers. I'll say it again, Brady won 2 Super Bowls and a league MVP this decade with Chris Hogan as a starting receiver. I don't have to continue making arguments for Brady as the GOAT (I do it because it's fun), because the media keeps making them for me without realizing it. Imagine what Brady could've done with Roethlisberger's receiving corps over the years. Imagine Brady instead of Manning had Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne for 10 years. Hell, imagine he had any of his own great receivers for 10 years instead of watching Belichick let them walk because he didn't want to pay them. There's a reason Brady has the record for TD passes to the most receivers , and this all decade team proves what we already knew: Brady can win and put up big numbers with anyone.

The dog couldn't have done worse in Super Bowl LII. Also couldn't have drafted worse the last few years.

Oh joy...we get another offseason of media driven Aaron Rodgers talk based off random opinions. Exactly what I didn't need at this time.
ESPN like pundits got nothing else to talk about so they force a narrative that Aaron refuses to give them. They want to create the narrative because there is nothing else to talk about. Why is Rodgers this target? Because his name creates clicks. Got tons of haters who want to believe everything random few say about him. As well as Packers fans who will defend him. It's all just click bait. You'd think people would learn by now.
Rodgers is randomly a bad teammate. Haters grab onto that. You got 2 former team mates who back this story. One of which is Greg Jennings who had his feelings hurt about a Rodgers comment and his ego priced him out of GB's range in FA and then washed out of the league. Dude is bitter. Jermichael Finley, well he changes his mind so often that it's not really much. Says something bad about Aaron only to then back him the next. Then the incredible sources...yawn. Give me the countless current and former team mates that continue to stick up for him. Guys like HaHa Clinton Dix (who I hate), Adrian Amos, David Bakhtiari, Clay Matthews, James Jones, Jordy Nelson, Brady Poppinga, Tom Crabtree to name a few. They state this narrative is false.
You get an old reporter that used to have ties in GB in Bob McGinn. He posts an article on The Athletic to support this Rodgers is a bad team mate narrative that is then proven to be based on a parody tweet. Some Barry McCockiner or something. Apparently he gets a lot of people. Then Bob McGinn posts another article stating he knows what Matt LeFluer is thinking. Despite the fact that the Packers cut ties with him as a reporter years ago. His sources aren't worth shit. He's never even met LeFluer. Just going into the click bait media narrative.
Meanwhile Brett Favre gets the media turn to further a narrative when all Favre wants to do is state that Rodgers is upset and the Packers screwed him. Favre is using his own feelings here as Favre only really wants to talk about Favre. He wants to justify his own actions. Favre never embraced Rodgers. Which is fine. I understand it. However he's projecting in his comments to make it seem like what he did was alright. Meanwhile Rodgers, in his play and in his presence has been the anti Favre. Rodgers doesn't throw the game ending INT's Favre does. He also reaches out the Jordan Love the next day via a call or text message. Rodgers never had Favre's phone number. Meanwhile the media driven story continues how Rodgers is pissed (maybe he is, I would be) only for Rodgers to make a tweet and Instagram post about chill vies and #relax. The media wants him to bite but he won't. So, they'll likely create more bullshit for him as for some reason Aaron Rodgers generates traffic in terms of clicks and views. It fucking sucks.
You have a QB who GB fans adore. You also have a QB who people want to look for reasons to hate. That generates clicks and views.
Look at Drew Brees. He doesn't create said interaction. Does Drew Brees get knocked for only having 1 SB win? Not to my knowledge. Rodgers does. It's an easy thing to reach at. Does Brees get knocked for cutting his mother off? Only to then later sue her and then for her to commit suicide? Nope. I never see it. However, it's a running gag that Rodgers doesn't talk to his family.
As a Packers fan it's just annoying. Why does Rodgers have to be this focus of attention when so much of it is media driven and outsiders perceived view of him instead of people that know him? Meanwhile a guy like Brees who has similar comps gets by as this likeable guy?
Imo, you're just wanting a reason to hate Rodgers. I can't say I'd be different if I wasn't a GB fan. But just own that it's what you're doing.
Sorry for the long post but fuck, I'm so sick and tired of these bullshit click bait articles. Only for the "journalists" then to attack GB fans for challenging them and calling the fanbase toxic (which it can be no lie) only to create some stupid war of who is right when nobody can prove anything.
Hence here I am, hating the Jordan Love pick even more. Simply because no matter what Aaron does it's going to be a story. I'd much rather be a team like the Saints where your QB doesn't get this attention. Meanwhile they want it for Brees apparently.

Oh . . . and (sometimes) Drew Brees."

The Bears are not picking up Trubisky’s fifth-year option. Unless he has a MASSIVE turnaround this season, safe to say he’s done in Chicago from 2021.
We’ll be talking about the Bears trading up to pick Trubisky with Watson and Mahomes still on the board for years and years.

I wanted to see if Cam could turn his career around in Chicago prior to them getting Foles and I thought that's where he'd land.
No problem rooting for Foles though.

Regular season scheduled being released next week - NFL states it still expects to start on time. Lets keep our fingers crossed. I don't see it though.... I do. - It's of little to no risk to the players. - Moderate risk to coaches (I could see some coaches and staff having to wear masks or even face shields at practice and during mid week preparation, because of their age and poor health.) - The NFL makes most of their money off TV. So little to no fams in the stands won't sink them financially. (You can social distance in the stands. But getting crowds in and out of the stadium seems threatening to the elderly, and those with chronic health conditions.)
