People are paranoid about this BS. let it go and have a little faith in God the simple truth is, people will inevitably die from random viruses as the years/decades/centuries pass. it's just the way it is. the media is doing what they usually do in cases with random viruses... more fear-mongering.

In this scenario if yours, wouldn’t God have created the virus in the first place? I don’t know about you, but if someone creates something to potentially kill you, I’m hardly going to have faith in them.

It will end when majority of the globe has been vaccinated and achieved herd immunity. So about 2 years from now. Otherwise it will keep coming back and killing people.

theauxphouIt ever occur to you that God might be using stuff like this to get people to turn back to Him? ; but I suspect, as usual, it will likely be ignored by most. p.s. bad stuff that happens in the world is not God's fault as suffering entered the world after the fall of Adam/Eve.

This virus (in some variation) has been around for a very long time. But it was restricted to just animals. Then it mutated and jumped from animal-to-human contagion. Then it mutated again, and now it jumps from human to human. We will eventually have a vaccine, but just like influenza and H1N1 viruses, they don't go away. They will always be with us. We will eventually develop immunities, and when it mutates, better vaccines will come to market. But it will be with us for a long time, just like influenza and H1N1 (which was also an animal-to-human virus).

"IF" commie China is to be believed …...then it look like U.S. is headed for atleast two more months of cases I believe some of the precautions put in place may soothe things a bit....how much though is hard to say!
that said perhaps a week or two before "Memorial Day" things will soothe some
my state Alabama has 68 cases now

Will it ever end, LOL, Jesus.... something funny...... Normally, no, I don't think this panic is funny at all, but your comment made me chuckle. How do some of you survive day-to-day? Be safe, be concerned, but will this ever end? Stop it.

Michigan went from like 110 this morning to 336 cases as of now. But then again, the definition of "case" is a VERY loose term. Basically if you look bad enough to possibly need to be in the ICU, they test you. Probably thousands have it, and have had it for the past week.

It won't ever completely end, but the current hardships will. In a few years COVID-19 will be one of the usual viruses we see each year. But we will have some immunity and a vaccine for it. It won't be as big of a threat as right now.
I have faith in humanity and the American people. What we need is time. And that's what these quarantines are about. All of us have to do our part by trying not to infect anyone, rationing and sharing our supplies (when possible), and being patient. But above all, to remain calm. A comfortable quarantine is nothing compared to what others in the past have suffered.
The food shortages are temporary. Once everyone's refrigerators and pantries are full, they should return to their normal buying thus allowing the supply chains to catch up. I was in Publix again today. Shelves which were low on Monday have now been restocked.
Yes, some people will die. I might die if infected. Life is a risk. And there will be economic hardships including homelessness for some. But I don't believe for one minute that we're not going to recover from this, physically and economically.
My confidence is based on the example of WW2. When Pearl Harbor was attacked, the U.S. was seriously unprepared for war. But once the factories ramped up production, we produced needed supplies at a phenomenal rate. We even produced enough to share with other countries. When food rationing began, people supplemented their meals with food grown in "victory gardens" and from hunting. The British were worse off, but they endured, and so will we today. America is only exceptional in this because we have so much production capability. The people of other countries are no less determined to do what they can to help. The human ability to adapt is stronger than a virus' ability to evolve.
So try not to stress out. Know that we're gonna make it.

Yes & no. As others have pointed out, the likes of Ebola & H1N1 have 'ended' as a grave global precaution, & yet they're not extinguished by any means.
Problem with this COVID-19 is how hidden in plain sight it is. It could be weeks before symptoms show themselves, & transmission is crazy easy. Seemingly healthy ppl walking around with it are ticking time bombs. Hence the quarantining.
I do believe we'll see some sort of new normal/acceptance midway to vaccine. For example, it would not shock me to see retail hours & part-time work return to shortened hours... I truly can't envision 10's of millions unable to go to work until vaccine.
