I am a dog person. Their eyes make me feel more human than watching any human being.

I'm watching my dog sleep at the moment, and he's wagging his tail while he's dreaming and making funny noises. So, yeah, dogs.

I really don't understand this "dog person" or "cat person" stuff. Just pass me an animal so I can start talking baby talk to it.

Dogs. I’ve had pet cats before, but not since 1992.

I love them equally. Adding reptiles to the pile. Snakes, lizards, turtles.

I'm a cat person. I don't mind dogs, but to me cats have a better personality. Dogs are too much like humans. They expect to be told what to do. They prefer to follow orders and live like servants. In my opinion all human beings should aspire to live as independently as cats.

I used to be a dog person, but I've become more of a cat person as I've gotten older. Dogs require too much attention, and cats are just more independent.

I like them both and for different reasons.
A dog will love you unconditionally and is always happy to see you. A dog is like a very young child, full of joy, wonder and loves to run around, no matter how old. A dog is easy to train. A dog wants to be with you, and doesn't really care about its surroundings. A dog will eat just about ANYthing. And a dog is a LOT of work compared to a cat.
A cat lets you know exactly how it's feeling. There is no mystery in deciphering it's moods. Cats DO have personalities, and are a lot of fun. But when a cat wants to be left alone, leave it alone. It is possible to train a cat, but it take a LOT of time, patience, and you are more successful training a male than a female. A cat is particular about what it eats. Although a cat loves you, it's more comfortable in it's home surroundings and doesn't like to travel (most don't, but there are rare exceptions. I had a male cat when I was in my early 20's who loved to take walks with me. No leash. He was a lot like a dog!).
They both take a lot of commitment and love.
