It's actually a Chardonnay, but not aged in oak. Cleaner taste. There are basically four varieties, and they are typically dry and crisp, with a nice clean finish.

Lol. I dunno, Pinky. Kinda lenten for dinner. Well, I had a very late lunch, and wasn't hungry. And it was after 5:00, so . . . . . I only had one glass of wine. Husband and I split the Newman's Own popcorn.

I know it's decadent and not the healthiest thing on earth, but I love melting a half of a stick of butter and pouring it over a bowl of popcorn. But anyways, that's still healthier than that salty vegetable oil goop they put on popcorn in movie theaters. Oh my YES!!!! I love butter! My husband won't allow butter on the popcorn. I don't eat fresh popcorn that often, and mourn the days with a pound of melted butter and salt on popcorn. Damn this healthy life style! PS - I cook with butter, but he doesn't know it!

Damn this healthy life style! PS - I cook with butter, but he doesn't know it! My mom used to cook with Crisco! It was delicious but that's like mainlining paste into your arteries. And butter is healthier than margarine. It's a natural non-synthesized product and thus easier to digest. It's always bettah with buttah!!! I know what you mean about your mom cooking with Crisco. My mother used to do donuts in lard! The taste is wonderful! But SOOOO bad for you.

That sounds good. I buy the salt free but I have to watch it with popcorn because I pig out
My mom used to use Crisco too, that's was what people used back then
Now I use butter or olive oil

I prefer a Pinot Grigio with popcorn. Otherwise, it sounds great!

But I remember McDonald's fries tasted hella better BEFORE they switched from lard to vegetable oil. I remember when McDonald's switched. Theirs were the only fast food fries I liked. Now they taste like crap.

I feel like a "paste" on the roof of my mouth. Yay for the buttah!

Okay lady, then have cheese with your wine like everyone else! Well, not to belabor the point, but unfortunately, I can no longer eat cheese. And I miss it.
