I miss having good pizza, but will just scrape off the cheese. And being.part Italian . . . well, it's not fun, but I've adjusted. Pinky, don't they have soy cheese? I know, I know, . But it's better than nothing! Well, I've eaten vegan mac and cheese - rice pasta and ersatz "cheese". Not terrible (she bravely said). I've tried so cheeses, and no no no no no. I'd rather go without. I miss brie.

Well, even if you have to give up on pizza, there are still tens of thousands of great dishes which don't include cheese. I'll pass on the wine and popcorn, thank you very much. But since I've known you, you've posted some delicious meals you've cooked up! Oh yeah, lots of dishes. It was weird eating out and seeing how many things cheese is in!!!! Bar food is tough! It's a veritable cheese smorgasbord!

But I love Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean food and have learned to cook it. None of those cuisines rely on cheese and rarely use it. I don't like Indian food , but like all the other food. We get Japanese a lot, Korean, and there is a really great Thai place as well. I stay away from curries and anything with coconut milk in it .

Pinky, do you have a problem with all cheese? Or is it specifically soft cheese, or hard cheese? I've noticed my body processes hard cheese and soft cheese differently.

My partner is Indian you know and I love Indian food. But I understand many Westerner's aversion to curry. And I lied a bit. My Indian in-laws do eat a lot of Indian cheeses like paneer. And what's not to like about coconut milk? But it is true that great cuisines do not need cheese! As far as coconut milk goes, it hits me like regular milk - can't tolerate it. Found out the hard way by eating a "healthy" ice-cream substitute made with coconut milk. Oooooh boy!!!

Any dairy product, including milk and cheese. I can have lactose free milk, but try to find a lactose free cheese. My body will not process anything with lactose in it. I can still have buttah, though - infinitesimal amounts of lactose, so I'm okay.

I prefer a Pinot Grigio with popcorn. Otherwise, it sounds great! I dunno, something about popcorn and wine still bothers me. Maybe popcorn and beer? Popcorn and rum and coke.

Hmm, coconut milk is obviously not dairy. I wonder why it would hit you like that? But I like it because it adds a creamy texture to sauces. The Thai use it a quite a bit actually. I wonder if you've had it and enjoyed it in Thai food without realizing it. I like coconut milk in sweet drinks; I don't like it in food (main dishes). It's because due to certain bacteria being where they aren't supposed to be in my entire GI series, I can't tolerate certain foods. And on top of that, the lactose. I have to watch certain sugars, absolutely no high fructose corn syrup, stay away from certain fruits . . . oh year, it's freakin' fun! But you learn to adjust. At least I had a good 60 years of eating well!!! I can't even have wines (except Chablis), and only vodka straight or with selzer, which I don't mind because I do like my vodka!

Popcorn and rum and coke. Yeah, that would work. Maybe it's just because I hate wine. PLEBIAN!!!!

Pinky, I've been sick off of every type of alcohol. And red wine produces the most vile hangover known to man. I can't stomach the stuff now. No, that title goes to peach brandy with any flavor of Schnapps a close second.
