The Keeper 1976
Pin: A Plastic Nightmare 1988 was big on the suck factor too
I think they had to avoid scariness in that because of funding laws in Canada. I hope that was the reason and not just incompetence.

It may not count as a 'real movie,' but Things from 1988 is the worst I've ever seen in any genre, I think.

Satanic Rites of Dracula, A Sound of Thunder, Jaws: the Revenge, The Invasion, Blair Witch. A Sound of Thunder is indeed one of the worst 'real' movies ever made. It's bad to a point that it's absolutely a favorite amongst some of my friends. We still quote some of the shockingly absurd dialogue to this day. The fact that real actors are in something that looks so cheap and horrible makes it that much funnier. I don't know that it was trying to be a horror movie really, but it's stunningly terrible.

SSSSSSSS is a mighty cheesy sci-fi/ horror movie, yet I enjoyed it a great deal.

The Mangler Reborn (2005)
Thankfully I remember nothing about it, except for the title and that it likely was available in the free viewing section on (then) Comcast.

When I was younger I thought the box art for Monkey Shines (1988) was scary, and so I eventually rented it.
What even was that movie? It was not scary at all.
What would you say is the worst horror movie you've even seen?
It was not quite the "Experiment in Fear" the subtitle promised, but I still enjoyed it. The leads were appealing, and John Pankow was especially fun to watch.

A Night To Dismember (1989) is a good example of a hilariously inept movie that is at least fun to laugh at. The Night Before Easter (2014) is a very good example of a seriously bad movie that was a real ordeal to sit through.

That one was the worst. Did you ever see either of the two Wishman big titty flicks, "Deadly Weapons"/"Double Agent 73"? Yee-gods!

"Manos: Hands of Fate", no doubt. I don't know if Manos is, technically, a horror film. But I see anything remotely to do with "worst movie ever" and I can't not plug Manos. There is not one good thing about it. Not even its 70 minute running time is a virtue. 70 minutes is a very long time to have to endure one's skull being pressed in a vice. I would rather watch Andy Warhol's "Sleep", a five hour experimental film of a man sleeping, than this godforsaken fetus one more time.

Several low budget horror movies... Let me be clear. There are several cheapies I like. You don't need a big budget to make a good movie.
But some are truly dire. They suffer from the usual tropes. Lots of dialogue and character development. Very little thrills or chills.

I think in the latter half it was trying to be Jurassic Park-lite.

I didn't get Drag Me to Hell at all. Supposed to scary? Wasn't. Funny? Not that either.
I should try it again in a better frame of mind.

The Blair Witch Project
87 minutes of card board characters swearing at each other and the ridiculous idea that people would actually be shooting a video of themselves while running through the dark woods in fear of their lives. Like millions of others I was snookered into a theatre to see this wretched excuse of something that looks like a rejected film school project and probably cost around $1.50 to make.
One of the few movies that made me want to get my money back from the box office while the people who made it laughed all the way to the bank.
