Egh, i’d still give the edge to Sean Connery even with his share of bad films. I do enjoy most of Daniel Craig’s better than the other eras. The only really bad one was Diamonds Are Forever (Never Say Never Again doesn't count).

Since Quantum of Solace is by far the worst Bond film Im going to say no. Worse than Die Another Day or Octopussy? No way. I love those two.

Brosnan had one great film (Goldeneye), two decent ones (TND and TWINE) and one dreadful one (Die Another Day). I'd agree with that. Each one is better than the next.

Well, now that NTTD is out, what do we think?

Well, now that NTTD is out, what do we think? I'd still go with Dalton. He only did two, but both were top-notch. Craig's run was decent. Definitely better than Brosnan's.

I actually like all of Craig's movies, but I'd still give the edge to Connery.

No, but he did well. I’m hoping for a different take on the character with whoever takes over next.

Making Bond and Blofeld brothers is an idiotic choice. I did not know that. Were they getting inspiration from Goldmember of all things?

No. While technically his movies were well-done, and both Casino Royale & Skyfall are near the top of the entire franchise, his movies were too grim, dour and dark for my tastes. 007 movies are supposed to have a sense of fun about them, and none of his entries did.

It really wasn't better than Brosnan's but I will say that NTTD made Bond human again since Daniel took over. It's all going to depend on personal taste. If you prefer the more cinematic, over-the-top Bond spectacle, I think you'll prefer Brosnan's run. If you prefer the more Fleming-esque serious take on Bond, you'll prefer Craig's run.

Blofeld becoming the leader of the world's deadliest terrorist group because his daddy loved Bond better is pretty over the top.

Still preferable to invisible cars, tsunami wave surfing, Asian to white face-swapping, and a bionic super-strength suit.

Making Bond and Blofeld brothers is an idiotic choice. I did not know that. Were they getting inspiration from Goldmember of all things? No. Sam Mendes is renown for his work with actors. When he was hired what became Skyfall, he wanted to delve into Bond's personal history to help audiences better understand him. When he decided to direct Spectre, he wanted to go even deeper into that. He and the screenwriters mined what they could from Ian Fleming about Bond's past. There, they found the short story "Octopussy" (from the anthology novel Octopussy and The Living Daylights) in which Bond regarded one character, Hannes Oberhauser, as being a second father to him. Thus, Mendes and company devised a new backstory in which they asked: "What if there was a natural child who had been pushed out, cuckoo in the nest by the blue-eyed good-looking talented skier and good climber, and he was a feeble little weakling, doing his homework upstairs. That figure felt like someone whose story I wanted to know."

While I think Craig has only had two great movies (Casino Royale and Skyfall), there is no denying that his tenure attracted the most talented batch of filmmakers and actors. 007 has always been one of the top earning franchises, but during Craig's time as Bond these movies became Oscar winning prestige pictures. So while I may not like Spectre or No Time To Die, and think Connery and Moore had more good movies, they didn't register the level of importance that Craig's films have. Also Connery, Moore and Brosnan's lows sank a lot lower than Craig's lows.

Bond looked 70 in NTTD and if you're James Bond and facially look too old then it's a turn off. Both Brosnan, Connery and Moore never looked like shit when they left Bond and all knew when to quit before they became laughable.
