Provided NTTD doesn't suck.
Even if it isn't amazing, has he had the best stretch of films as 007 since Connery? Or maybe even better?

I wish I could say but I haven't seen any of the ones with Daniel Craig. I just remember reading that he was all wrong for the role but somehow it worked.
As long as he doesn't get replaced by some George Lazenby type for one film and then come back, and then leave again, he'll be better than Connery.

Casino Royale might just be the best in the series. Quantum of Solace gets only worse with each viewing. Skyfall is quite good and the best looking film in the series. Spectre blows its load with the opening shot. Making Bond and Blofeld brothers is an idiotic choice.

Connery was voted the best Bond and that was a recent poll by people who we assume have seen the Craig movies.
Was listening to an audio commentary on a film and the mod told Roger Moore that Ian Fleming said he was the image he had in mind for the character--but I don't know if that was verified.
Christopher Lee said he was the inspiration for Bond too--Fleming being his cousin.

I think Connery still had the best run and still is the best Bond all things considered.

Well I do think Casino Royale is the best Bond film thus far, but I'd still say Connery had the best run overall.

Considering Lazenby only made one film and Dalton two, but I liked each of them, they're batting 1000.
NTTD would have to be amazing in order to make up for Spectre.

I think Moore had the best run. Sean had the first run, based on the books. Dalton, Bronsan and Craig moved the story forward into current times, the stories written in the 1950's and 60's by Flemming.

I think Sean Connery had the best run thus far. While Diamonds Are Forever was a mixed bag to close his "official" run, he was still beloved as James Bond. Casino Royale might just be the best in the series. Quantum of Solace gets only worse with each viewing.Skyfall is quite good and the best looking film in the series. Spectre blows its load with the opening shot. Making Bond and Blofeld brothers is an idiotic choice. I think it's quite the contrary. Initially, I disliked Quantum of Solace, but in the passing years, I've warmed up to it and even James Bond fans feel the same way. While the editing, the villain, and the script are below par, it gets better when it's best viewed as a companion piece to Casino Royale.

Daniel Craig is competent, and a capable actor. Sean Connery is an icon. Roger Moore is probably next in line.

1. Roger Moore 2. Timothy Dalton 3. Sean Connery 4. Pierce Brosnan (GoldenEye was his only good film) 5. George Lazenby 6. Daniel Craig (Worst films and worst actor)

Roger Moore has had the best run I think. He was the bridge that helped the series thrive. He's been in the most, he helped the character transition in a successful way, and Live and Let Die and the Spy who loved me are class; and he paved the way for Dalton.
I'd say Connery next.
Skyfall is a great film, and Casino Royale is popular but he doesn't get much love for QOS and Spectre. Some long gaps in the series since he took over, he's been bond for 14 years and he's only done 5.

Egh, i’d still give the edge to Sean Connery even with his share of bad films. I do enjoy most of Daniel Craig’s better than the other eras.
