I have now dealt with it. The task was much easier to achieve than I had previously thought possible.

I feel like there's a good movie somewhere in there, but unfortunately the nonstop shouting and talking over what seems like every second of the movie renders it mostly unwatchable for me.

I'm actually gonna have to agree, I mean the most memorable scene is some fat kid shaking his man-titties. Enough said.

Never seen it, not interested. It certainly looks annoying and not remotely like something I'd be interested in.

Seen it three-four times, and I always "expect" to find it as charming and lovable as so many others, but I cannot get over the kids being so unlikeable. However Robert Davi, Kerri Green and Sloth kind of saves it from a lesser rating, and I guess is the only reason to why it still stands in my movie collection. For a similar and far more fun and likeable horror-adventure title of that period, I much more prefer The Monster Squad (1987).

It's a lot of fun and has a great cast.
I love it. Deal with it.
That overrated and over-hyped crap Stranger Things is a rip-off of The Goonies.

There's some good reboot material there. Just get the cast of Maze Runner and you're set.

The song Goonies 'r' Good Enough by Cyndi Lauper is another highlight, along with Davis singing.

It's entertaining and fun, deal with it. If Annoying kids screaming for two hours is your idea of fun! How would you compare it to "The Sandlot"?

This film was/is amazing for someone that grew up during the era. I've always loved it. I still remember my Mom refusing to let me go with my next door neighbor and her Mom to go see it because she was afraid I'd be scared and had heard about the kids bad language (thanks to pre internet Mom's gossiping). It was one of the first times I contemplated sneaking out of my room (it faced the street in front of my house). I figured I could pull off the escape but my Mom would probably realize I was gone before too long (it was only a 1400 sq. ft. house). Weird that I wasn't allowed to go see this but I saw Raiders in the theater a few years before which had much scarier elements to it for a young boy.
