Only seen the first two instalments and would consider them to be masterpieces. A perfect blend of the crime thriller and superhero genres and a wonderfully 'realistic' take on the comic book source material. You never saw the third one? I mean it isn't that good, but still.

Yeah, I know. 9 years after its release and I still haven't gotten round to watching it. I will see it someday though.

Overrated? Perhaps. Not “massively overrated” though. Nolan knows how to make a movie and the first two demonstrate that talent. I’m not a superhero movie fan by any means but these two films get a lot right when it comes to technical proficiency and a compelling story. I have to agree that Rises was a weak effort. I tend to agree that Nolan may have been going through the motions on that one or accepting too much studio input...
Begins: 7/10 Dark: 8/10 Rises: 4/10
Just for the heck of it:
Dunkirk: 8/10

Not overrated, definitely not "massively". Although the amount of online chatter that speaks of TDKR as a bad film with the endless "plot-holes" talk makes me think it is very much under-appreciated. 87% fresh on rotten tomatoes, 78 metacritic score and 8.4 IMDb score, I always find the bad reception elsewhere puzzling. It's like a "cup is half-empty" instead of "cup is half-full" sentiment with that film.

No. Wonderful trilogy. Maybe the films' running times could have been cut for the attention-challenged, but overall, damned good.
