I'd say the Cowboys could be at risk of losing Quinn to Seattle. I was surprised he didn't leave after last year. Maybe he was thinking McCarthy was gonna screw up with the play calling and he'd then get the Dallas gig. He'll definitely be in the running for multiple jobs, if he wants them. He's more than likely gone. I think some coordinators are better as coordinators than head coaches. How can anyone watch that Patriots Falcons Super Bowl and want him as their coach? Yes Dallas at times has had a decent defense but I think we've seen how this particular story would go.

That's definitely true, but those guys often get chances at head coaching spots again, and they always seem to want to try again. And yet others don't get those chances. I still don't understand why Steve Spagnuolo hasn't gotten another shot for instance.

Quinn was also the coordinator of Seattle's Legion of Boom defense; from their perspective, they're probably more interested in trying to replicate that era.

What do you want Kraft to do now? And what do you expect him to do now?

What do you want Kraft to do now? And what do you expect him to do now? I want whoever takes over to draft good players. I don't have my eye on any coach in particular. Average coaches can win with good players, you see it across the league every year. I just want a competitive team on the field, it's all any fan can ask for. That and to not hear about how a guy with three winning seasons and eight losing seasons, with one playoff win, without Brady is the greatest coach of all time every week during the broadcast.

I don't necessarily think you have to take a QB at #1 to not make the most of it. Don't get me wrong, if it were me, I'd trade Fields, get as much as I could for him, and draft Williams. I'd also do everything I could to get Harbaugh to come to his old team. Well, they're already keeping Eberflus and maybe they think Fields is the real deal. I don't, but he did play better in stretches. Then they could trade the #1 pick for a ton and build around Fields. Again, I wouldn't but one could argue that would be making the most of it as drafting a QB early is a crapshoot anyway. Yeah, well 'making the most out of it' at this point is a Fields vs Caleb issue. I assume they're not gonna keep Fields and draft a star rookie QB, so it's down to which one they prefer. Ive barely watched any college football so I don't know, but if they still like Fields trading that pick, or drafting and trading him could get them a lot in return. But also, Fields could get them a decent return since he's been playing much better. I don't know, but it would seek they have big decisions to make, but are sitting in a pretty privileged place right now. Yeah, they have a tough decision to make. I've seen Williams a lot but haven't seen much on Maye. There is a lot that goes into this. Another factor is you have to sign Fields sooner whereas with Williams or Maye you get the 4 years and an option on the rookie deal. Fields will bring in a nice return but not as much as the #1 pick. I think they trade Fields myself but they do indeed have options. It'll be interesting to see what they do.

Dallas is no stranger to that scenario. Norv Turner & Dave Wandstedt were great coordinators who got chances but just weren't good in the head coach role.

What do you want Kraft to do now? And what do you expect him to do now? Kraft won't do anything particularly interesting; he'll probably hire Vrabel or promote Mayo. Both of which would be more of the same, stylistically. But what do I care?

Belichick out in New England per Schefter.
So if Philly loses this week to Tampa do they get rid of Sirianni after collapsing from a 10-1 start? Doubtful but if they feel he lost the locker room and Belichik is out there it would be an interesting move.

Right, but that's the most obvious answer ever. Do you want them to go young, with a new guy who hasn't been a head coach before? Or someone established? Do you have a preference for keeping the GM and coach separate, or do you wanna bring someone in to do both jobs? And I guess, more importantly, in what direction do you think Kraft will actually go?

Keep the coach and GM separate, though I think he should have input, especially if they go young (which I think they should). Kraft used to be a savvy businessman, you'd like to think he sees the direction the league is taking. But he's getting up there in age, so who knows.

What do you want Kraft to do now? And what do you expect him to do now? a. I want him to get rid of these Sunday School color rush jerseys. b. Hire Vrabel to keep some semblance of Patriot way, although easing off the militaristic Belichick ways of late. I don't see the Krafts going full analytics hiring mode, now, maybe never. I think giving an OC & DC more strategic control also will hopefully add modern dimensions to each side. Judon & Gonzalez are back in 2024, Jayden Daniels QB... it's a pretty good foundation.
