You could get hurt in the tug-of-war and dodgeball events too. You could get hurt walking down the street, but I have a guess as to how you're more likely to get injured. I don't know how much wincing I would've done watching the skills challenges (not that I saw them); but if I was a Cowboys fan, let alone the owner, I would've been scared shitless as Lamb was going to the ground at full speed for an overthrown ball in a flag football game. Eh, I really don't think there's a much elevated risk of a torn acl in running routes in the pro bowl vs a torn rotator cuff in the tug of war in the skills games. They're both pretty casual events for freak athletes. I think it's a huge stretch to say the game is any significant degree, or really any degree, more dangerous than any of the other events. And of course every player can choose not to play in the game, and many do.

What's the dumbest, biggest waste of everyone's time; The NFL Honors Awards ceremony or the ESPYs?

Devin Hester gets into the Hall of Fame. Dude had the biggest highlight of Super Bowl XLI when he returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown. The rainy weather was interesting for a change, but the rest of the game didn't live up to Hester's super move.

Sort of funny given today's numbers that Jan Stenerud is in. 66.8% FG, 61.9% in the playoffs, 96% XP when they were gimmes. In 19 seasons, he had only 17 FG from 50+, making 26.5% of them. It's not like completion percentage with major rule changes, though the did move the hash marks in some.

What's the dumbest, biggest waste of everyone's time; The NFL Honors Awards ceremony or the ESPYs? Never watched either one, but I'd have to say ESPYs. Media awards are meaningless enough, but aren't the ESPYs like people's choice awards or MTV movie awards, voted by 12 year olds and soccer moms?

Media awards are meaningless enough, but aren't the ESPYs like people's choice awards or MTV movie awards, voted by 12 year olds and soccer moms? I thought that too, mostly because they award things like MVP and Rookie of the Year at the NFL Honors show. But when we finished watching whatever we were watching yesterday the NFL honors show came on, and while they show was no worse than other awards shows, I watched them give out the awards for 'The Next Gen Stats Moment of the Year' to CeeDee Lamb for a first quarter touchdown in the regular season, and the 'Bud Light Celebration of the Year' to Tommy DeVito. So now I'm not sure.

Comeback player of the year is a weird award to figure out. Damar Hamlin damn near died last year but he barely played so did he really fully comeback? What exactly did Joe Flacco comeback from? Being old? Sitting on his coach? I remember thinking that Brian Robinson Jr should have won it last year after getting shot before the season only for them to say he didn't qualify as it happened right before the season. So shouldn't he have qualified for it this year then? Such a stupid award with no real definition of what a comeback is.

What's the dumbest, biggest waste of everyone's time; The NFL Honors Awards ceremony or the ESPYs? Since no one bothered to mention a certain fumble recovery touchdown in last season's playoffs, I will say without hesitation the ESPYs.
