Steven Moffat's run was astonishingly good. It's a shame his last season was just a blatant left wing political agenda designed to brainwash young viewers. Viewers don't want to be preached to, so it's no wonder the ratings have crashed and burned. I hope the new show runner puts the show back on course.

A series is the entirety of a tv show's run. A season is one year's worth of episodes. You Brits should stop saying it incorrectly.

Indeed, that's precisely what I decided to BOYCOTT "series 10" from day one. I KNEW the entire season would be worthless Social Justice Warrior propaganda. I have now been PROVEN right. Too bad many Doctor Who fans did not heed my warning.

People whine too much about politics.
It's a TV show. Most people are capable of forming their own ideals and beliefs without having to rely on television. But if it bothers you so much, there is always another option.

if it bothers you so much, there is always another option. Indeed. My option has been to watch the Patrick Troughton episodes in place of "Series 10", and I don't regret it one bit. The old black & white episodes focused on fun and adventure, rather than promoting leftist politics every episode. And Zoe is 10x the companion that "Bill" is, thanks to having an actual personality and being likeable and sexy. Imagine if Moffat had written Zoe, she would have come out as a transgender autistic paraplegic Muslim within 10 seconds of appearing on screen the first time (and then reminded you about it every episode) and then introduced her black boyfriend character named "Jimmy Clark" who is self-centered total douchebag always whining about how she spends time with The Doctor instead of him. Oh please, JIMMY! My preferred pronouns are HE, ever since I transitioned last year! Gawd you're TRANSPHOBIC! Now I have to get on saying my 3:00 prayers facing Mecca so I can be back on the TARDIS in time. Yeah, TARDIS this, TARDIS that! I'm so sick of hearing about the bloody TARDIS! What's the Docta got that I ain't got, ay?

My point was: It's JUST a TV show. It's not capable of hurting you with political ideology. If you don't like it, turn it off. It doesn't hold any power over you. But I suppose whining about it and going off on a brainwashing conspiracy is another way to go...

Yes, I KNOW its just a show, but it IS letting its political agenda get in the way of good story-telling and we are well within our rights to say it.

You are fully within your right to complain about anything you want. I was just stating my opinion that I think it's kind of ridiculous to complain about the politics of a TV show... that is constantly fluxing anyway. And I bet the storytelling with the next showrunner will be different, too. There just always seemed like more important things to worry about in the real world. But y'know, I don't really like to argue that much. I do understand what you're saying, and I respect it

"There just always seemed like more important things to worry about in the real world." We're on a message board that talks about movies and TV shows. This is kinda the place to voice our complaints about the show. If you want to talk about more important things, the Politics board is right over there.

I'm sure @reelreviews watched Doctor Who series 10 entirely.
I think the last episodes were really good like almost all from Moffat. Great writer.
Bill was one of the best companions and had good chemistry with Capaldi's Doctor. A pity they didn't get rid of Clara when Matt Smith left.

I KNOW its just a show, but it IS letting its political agenda get in the way of good story-telling and we are well within our rights to say it. Shhhh. Pointing out this fact may result in the BBC shills/Moffat apologists screaming TROLLLLLLLLLLLLLL at you and insisting the show is "much better" this season and its "refreshing" that the entire season revolved around a character reminding people that she's a lesbian.

Clara:"Doctor, you look different so I can't travel with you anymore. Bye, good luck getting your memory back."

Meh. After mistakenly thinking I'd be tolerated for being white, straight, and cis on tumblr, this community is rather unintimidating by comparison.

How the hell would that make sense? Clara:"Doctor, you look different so I can't travel with you anymore. Bye, good luck getting your memory back." The "Bill" defenders here don't care about the plots making sense, they only care about getting more "diversity" and left-wing politics on the show. If Moffat decided to write out Amy Pond by having her announce on a whim that she's now engaged to another girl and dumping Rory, they'd be on here gushing with praise for the episode and how awesome it was, then retroactively claim nobody liked Amy when she was straight.

I'm sure @reelreviews watched Doctor Who series 10 entirely. No question about it. He knows far too much about what happens in each episode to not have. So much for his boycott.
