And both of those are awesome. That's not what most people think. Iron Fist actually hurted the viewership of Defenders and it looks like Inhumans is about to be cancelled. Most of humanity is composed of idiocy. The word of the majority is meaningless. Try harder.

Inhumans was always meant to be an 8 episode miniseries (it wasn't until after they considered a second series), and what really hurt Defenders was the advertising and marketing not making it clear you didn't have to watch both seasons of DD as well as all of JJ, LC and Iron Fist to get into the show. Some just weren't willing to watch ALL of that to get to Defenders...when truth is that they didn't need to. Sorry, but I think that is bullshit.

But for me it comes out the same moment as Thor Ragnarok (wasnt there a bear called that) . So binging is not an option. Gotta see my main man Hulk.

But least watched Marvel Netflix show. Least watched when it first came out, not now when it's the most binge-watched. you are lying, the article you provided says third most binge watched. And more importantly: thats for shows watched in their entirety within the first 24 hours of release. Thus: so what...?
In absolute numbers it is still a failure. Your articile still confirms that Defender - as an hyped Avengers team up pedant - received just 17% of the viewership that Daredevil Season 2 opened to in its first thirty days. According to the earlier report, the series also had the largest week-over-week drop in terms of viewers, declining by 67%, 48% and 41% over the first few weeks.
This smells like typical statistical cherry picking in an effort to spin and mitigate the viewership failure facts. Maybe you can make up some artificial booster to spin this better? Or deal with it like a gentleman for once, accepting the facts like a grown up?

The word of the majority is meaningless. Try harder. you obviously only speak for yourself, not for most of humanity, in the end you are the person who, inter alia, here claimed:
- "Shakespeare never wrote an original thing" (despite all his original plays)
- Alien intelligence is proven not to exist, but alien germs have been proven by Nasa
- MCU is in good company as Hitch films never got an Oscar either (despite 5 director noms, 1 Oscar for Rebecca etc)
- Snyder Superman is an Ayn Rand character (i.e. selfish, quasi-sociopathic and without social pity - desite Snyder Supes sacrificing his life and helping without reward)
(btw the latter is rich coming from the guy who infamously bumped into the mourn-Snyder's-daughter-suicide thread cheering and triumphant, and then when he got massive flack for it lied he had stated his condolences "elsewhere")
Try harder indeed.

That's the problem, it WASN'T very hyped up and wasn't marketed well either. Most viewers assumed they'd have to watch all the preceding shows to get ready which is....quite a lot of hours. And not everyone who enjoyed DD would necessarily enjoy LC, IF or JJ and vice-versa. Turns out Defenders did a decent job explaining itself without the viewer needing to watch everything beforehand but most audience members didn't know that. So yeah, poor marketing. Despite it getting good reviews.

Two rotten MCU properties and one fresh DCEU property. Actually, three times is the charm, and forms a pattern. Defenders was a massive failure too, it only got 75% on RT which is bad for TV shows, they usually being in the 90ies on RT. Worse: it was the least seen Netflix show evah (even fewer viewers even than Iron Fist). So, that's not good for MCU's TV equivalent of The Avengers. Considering this, it was the worst failure of the three.
To be fair, it's not really fair that, I still liked Defenders (and some previous shows) better than many of the raccoon turds posing as movies. But these have the built-in children audiences, too kiddy to fail.
There is no pattern. The OP failed to mention SM:HC, GOTG Vol2, and Thor, all of which received overwhelmingly positive reviews. So three huge successes and two failures (TV). It seems the MCU is doing better than ever in the movie world.

I think it's completely stupid for people to rate an entire series after only watching the first episode. You don't rate a movie after having only watched half of it. I think it should be made a rule that critics can't rate a series unless they've watched the entire season.

That's because you're too stupid to appreciate a fine show like -- wait, did you say it was awesome? Oh. Then, we agree. WHAT HAPPENS NOW?!* (*is it... your word search? )

I think it should be made a rule that critics can't rate a series unless they've watched the entire season. It's not stupid at all. It's completely valid and fair to rate a series after only watching the pilot episode. And you can't compare it to movies because TV and movies are 2 different mediums.
For movies, it's only about 2 hours so unless the 1st half of the movie is really awful, people will generally stay to watch the whole movie even if the 1st half starts off slowly or isn't that good. TV shows are 10 or 13 hours (for a shortened season) to 22 hours (for a full season). People aren't going to continue spending all those hours watching a TV show if the pilot isn't interesting enough to get them want to watch more.
Moreover, its completely valid and fair to rate a TV series after only watching the 1st episode because that's exactly how network executives decide whether or not to greenlight a TV seres. Network executives don't watch an entire season and then decide if they want to greenlit a TV series. They'll watch the pilot episode only and then decide if they want to greenlit a TV series.
Most TV shows don't even make it past the pilot episode. So the pilot episode has to be interesting enough to get people to watch more and thus it's completely valid and fair to rate a TV series after only watching the 1st episode.

Getting a series greenlit by executives is not what we're discussing here. Those kinds of decisions are based on a lot of factors other than just judging how much they like a pilot episode. However, a critic's rating has everything to do with how much they like/dislike a series. And it's stupid to give an ENTIRE show a rating based only on one episode. You can definitely rate that particular episode, but it's absurd to claim an entire series is rated an X amount when all you've seen is a tiny bit of it. That's just retarded and pretentious.
