There've been old rumors about misbehavior by celebs from ages ago that we haven't heard anything about lately. And in some cases, not just rumors.
A couple of for instances:
Sean Connery Kirk Douglas

The floodgates have been opened for both the victims and those looking to make a buck. I am quite confident that some of these people coming toward are telling the truth and others are just opportunists. We have to assume that they're all hopefully telling the truth but so many coming out at the same time? It's just mind-boggling, every day a different celebrity is being accused of harassment. Is law enforcement pursuing all of these allegations? And are all of them seeking money damages or are they just airing their stories? I truly feel sorry for all of the victims but it really is hard to keep track of every single allegation. I don't know....I just think that the entertainment business as we know it will no longer be the same. I don't think you have to, nor should you, assume they are all telling the truth. That's a little naïve.

Yes. Born that way. I was brought up to have respect for myself and others. If I don't respect myself how can I expect respect from others? Why do you ask? You skew male in your responses. No offense intended.

No offense intended. Not offended. All of us girls in our family had to pass certain tests in our house... Change a car tire, change the oil, assemble at least one book case among other things, and to do basic home improvements. Along with the physical abilities of 'i don't need a man's came that mentality, too. I just can't continue to feel sorry for any female who keeps on getting sexually harassed or worse but still continues to dress provocatively and NOT see how one COULD have to do with the other. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

In this climate, I just have to assume that every single rumors, blind gossips/items, and conspiracy theories that go around famous men are 100% real, no matter how ridiculous they sound. I take women's complaints of harassment seriously, and I generally lean toward believing most of them--especially in situations in which multiple women have complaints about an individual. However, I think it would be quite foolhardy to assume that all rumors/gossip/conspiracy theories about famous men are 100% real no matter how ridiculous. (And I'm hoping you were just being sarcastic there.) It is 100% true that a lot of people have bad intentions. It is 100% true that some of those people people with bad intentions are women. So I think we have to assume that there will be some women who use false or exaggerated claims of sexual impropriety as a means to hurt powerful men they do not like. There are also the issues of genuine misunderstandings/mixed signals and of faulty memories. A man might think a woman is open to a certain kind of approach (something spoken or a physical act, such as a pat or embrace), when in fact she is not and finds the act violative. (Obviously, I'm not talking about the cases where a guy just whips out his willy and starts masturbating in front of someone he knows only in a professional relationship. Or cases of rape. Or cases of a man implying--or stating clearly--that he will help a woman's career if she accepts his sexual advances/will hurt her career if she rejects them. Etc. I'm talking about the more clearly ambiguous situations.)

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Women (or anybody) should be able to dress as attractively as they want, so far as is appropriate for the setting. I think our focus really needs to stay on the (mainly) men who are committing these vile acts. If a woman wears a very low-cut dress or blouse with her breasts very visible, she shouldn't be upset if people look at her breasts. But that doesn't give anyone license to grab her breasts (or any other part of her body) or to assume that she is open to them pursuing sexual activity with her when she has shown no interest in them. Even moreso if they have a professional relationship.

But still, those blind gossip/item sites like Crazy Days and Nights apparently have been exposing people like Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey for years, according to some. Wouldn't that mean we have to assume that implication related to Heather O'Rourke is also true?
Besides, how many times have you seen John Lasseter's rumors floating on websites like IMDb?
Some might even say that this is the watershed moment in which websties like Neon Nettle, InfoWars, or Your News Wire are becoming legit news sources...
P.S. No, I'm not being sarcastic. It's my defense mechanism to prepare for what comes next.

I don't mean to sound mean, and I want to believe everyone but how long can they keep saying this happened. Some of these women are saying it was 30 years ago, is there a limit to this. Plus, I keep going I just want to know there was proof. I take people for their word, but sometimes I wonder with all of this. Some of these cases are coming out from the 70's and the 80's, and those were some wild times and parties. In Spacey's story I keep going who the h*ll let a 14yro go out to a party. Seriously, a 14 yro kid with no parents. Then there is now women going after Gene Simmons. Anyone who's a Kiss fan, knows his history and the story about the box with the photos. I mean the man lived the rock n roll life. I guess no one is safe. There is going to be more stories coming out, more lives ruined, and some careers. I mean how much is damage enough? In one way I want to see photo's of some of these women from when this stuff happened? Were they partiers, or groupies? Just a quick question is all.

I mean, this guy:
https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/7ekrr6/john_lasseter_taking_leave_of_absence_from_pixar/dq7qlan/
...claims that he's from Los Angeles and heard about Hollywood during his entire life:
"I just read about history, and so am very familiar with the history of child abuse in Hollywood. Los Angeles is my home town and I have heard about Hollywood my entire life. I also know many people who work in the film industry and are able to provide first hand information.
Ask Elijah Wood and Corey Feldman what they had to say about the culture of child abuse they experienced and knew about.
Partisan politics has nothing to do with this. Stop trying your divide and conquer tactics here.
Pedowood is burning and it's good for the country.
Dan Schneider is next, and hopefully after that Bryan Singer and Bob Iger.
There are a lot of rumors against Spielberg going back decades (pedorassic park) but I am not going to comment on that. If he gets exposed, Hollywood as we know it is done."
Wouldn't that give him every single credibility he claims to deserve?

I don't want to hear you whine about the countless times you have had your boobies groped 'unwaranted' when you wear a spaghetti string tank top and no bra. if you are proud of it, then fine -- good for you. but if you are whining about it, wake up and cover up.

Lament that I dont always carry a pair of scissors or knife for emergency adult circumcision enhancement surgery. Well... depends on who's thang it is. Steven Spielberg could pretty much do whatever he wants to me if he gets me work. LOL. This is a joke, of course. If I found out that Spielberg was a pedo it would change everything I feel about him. I'd need him to go to jail.
