All of the people going to see these movies whilst avoiding darker, deeper films like Logan are shallow idiots who seem to only want to experience two emotions in life.... Crying over the death of a loved - if that and laughing at silly, shallow, pointless slap-stick humor. They really aren't much deeper than that. What's sad is that Logan has far better humor, "She's 11 - I'm fcking 90" than anything in the MCU and yet, all people want is to laugh throughout the whole movie. They don't want to deal with reality or else it's too much drama and therefore, it's too BORING.

Logan is over-rated. As for x-men films, I prefer The Wolverine, X-men 2 and X-men First Class over it

Well I did like Thor a lot but I do kind of agree that this kind of humour that we constantly seem to get in these Marvel movies now is becoming a little bit stale and predictable.
Both Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Thor overdid the humour this year. Spider-man kinds warrants it so that's ok.
Wonder Woman did it best, it was funny when it had to be and that was it.

Yeah because that stupid slo mo Quicksilver Twinkie scene (played for laughs)in Ivan Ooze RIGHT JUST AFTER Havok's death didn't destroy any emotion or dramatic tension, or Magneto comically tapping his helmet (and smiling)when he was about to sacrifice both Xavier and Jason both Mutants and one who he claims is a friend to die in Stryker's cerebro in X2, or right after Strikers attack on the X-Mansion where several mutant kids have been captured for experimentation and Wolverine ,Iceman, Rogue barely escaped in cyclops car, there is a stupid N'Sync song joke. Or the "you had some really bad acid" bit after Wolverine's traumatic breakdown and the Xavier "F@ck off" line in DOFP or the "Who the F@ck are you" line during the scene where Magneto is supposed to be getting revenge for his family's death in Ivan Ooze. Stop acting like the FOX-Men crap doesn't exploit certain dramatic moments with cheap, bad or out of place humor.

In my opinion it was only a few scenes the comedy hurts it. Otherwise I didn't mind it.
I didn't care for Logan, and not the reason the MCU fanboys are using either.
Wonder Woman actually hit the comedy perfectly, without forcing it and without taking away from more serious moments. This comment will probably start a blacklash. If you disagree that is perfectly fine, my opinion is not anymore meaningful than yours, and the other way around.

I liked the movie, but humor scenes like after Diana gets period proper clothes in England, she is walking around with her sword and shield out for comedic effort really came across as bad (especially when she was wearing her black cape outfit before she had concealed both her sword and shield from the crowd). |

Blame the audience. Box office results drive how Disney moulds its product. Gotg made more money than Winter Soldier in 2014 and its no surprise theyve amped up the comedy ever since.
And its not going to change as Ragnarok will make a ton of money and easily surpass the Thor franchise. Just look at how drastically theyve changed the tone from Thor TDW, which had a serious demeanor Thor and some of the best drama in the MCU. Now in Ragnarok hes cracking constant, non-stop jokes and is entirely a different character. They even cut his hair as so to not remind people of TDW because they are ashamed of comic films that provide a good balanced drama-edy which all phase 1 and some phase 2 films are.
We just have to hope audiences get sick and tired of the overloaded lame comedy before anything changes.

It is common sense that WW hits a tasteful and adequate balance between comedy and drama considering its CBM-nature and the setting of WW1. Dumbing it down (with laser battles and such) or making a lowbrow comedy out of it would have been disrespectful and cheap.
There is a reason why this is considered for Oscar merits despit comic book nerds raging against it. The lunatics usually do not run the asylum, and that is a good thing.

But comedy is Marvel's shtick, it's what makes their films a fun 2 hours at the cinema, and a fun way to escape the drama of the real world for two hours

You think Magneto tapping his helmet was a joke? If it is a joke then its a subtle one as he uses no dialogue but moreover hes simply showing the audience why mastermind cant get into his head. Plus magneto taps Xaviers chair and says goodbye charles as a sign of slight remorse. That N-Sync "joke" is comic relief once the immediate tension has passed and isnt overplayed, something Disney MCU dont understand. Really bad acid line was funny because he was trying to calm Wolverine down when his mind was being shifted. Who tf are you from Magneto il give you that, it was out of place. Point is, weve not seen anything in X-men remotely close to some of the gags during (not before or after) serious moments in Disneys MCU. |

I thoroughly enjoyed Logan and I enjoyed Thor: Ragnarok. Both for different reasons. In my opinion TR is not as good as the "oh it's the best thing since sliced bread" adulation it is getting on here, but it's a fun movie. That's what I was after at that time. Logan is a different beast altogether and I wanted to see a dark film when I watched that. Each to their own |

I go to the movies to have fun. I saw Thor last night and I had a good time. I experience enough drama in real life. I like to watch serious films at the house, but when I go to the movies, especially in IMAX 3D, I want to have fun and movies like Thor deliver that.

Ragnarok's humor didn't bother me much, though there were some that fell flat. Nothing cringe worthy though like gotg2's turd and nipple jokes. |

So you're fine with magical strength enhancing gas...but not First Avenger being true to the comics instead of selling out and going for that "grounded" approach? Of course, Wonder Woman wasted the potential of Dr Poison's new inventions while First Avenger bothered exploring the concept...And WW dumbed things down pretty much by having Diana never be injured by anything she faced until Ares (who she took out pretty easily), in fact no one in her team was injured except for Steve (and he'll be back soon enough). |
