Batman's TOTALLY overshadowed by the villains there. Dominates, especially considering how little they gave the other X-Men to work with.

formersamhmdMichael Keaton's Batman is a lot more popular than Penguin or Catwoman. Probably more popular than Joker too but not by a whole lot. Christian Bale's Batman was only overshadowed by the Joker because of the iconic performance he gave in that movie. He was still a very popular and well liked Batman though as were his movie villains like Scarecrow and Bane. Magneto obviously doesn't dominate because Wolverine was the main hero in the movie and he's drastically more popular. There isn't even anything wrong with the villain being the far more popular character either so it's not even a flaw. The Terminator for example is enormously more well liked than Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese but that hasn't stopped it from being a well loved and iconic movie.

I run into people who complain about Keaton but never the villains. He was overshadowed by Ra's, Joker and Bane. In every movie the villain stole the film from him. There's a reason that Magneto was supposed to get his own origins movie too. It shows that the writer just didn't care about the hero.
