When you make a thread you should make a point. Unlike your previous two threads which was nothing but a couple sentence mocking of a series that was clearly made to provoke people which in turn makes the thread go to shit.
It's a discussion board, there needs to be something for people to actually discuss rather than it being yet another excuse for people to start arguing.

Bin Lader is right... didn't think I would ever say that. The DCEU does need to up its game and it needs stop cutting off the potential for future stories off at the legs.

Nice uninformed trolling, based on the facts:
- Showverse: DC does great with successful and highly rated TV shows creating their own multiverses (like Arrowverse etc). MCU shows are the lowest rated on Netflix & CO ever (Defenders, Inhumans and Iron Fist) and below 10% critical rating. Yikes.
- Comicverse: DC successfully sells comics (the core business), MCU does not. In fact I read the Bat-Family-Verse alone beats all Marvel by miles.
- Cartoonverse: DC has a successful and productive animated brand, Marvel has not.
- As for DCEU: Only 4 DCEU films versus 17 MCU fims, but still most impressively:
And you talk about DCEU getting their act together? Riiight. Are you now going to cry AGAIN, Clarky?
OT: please, please, you are soiling SW properties with your avatar. Take an MCU avatar like a quishy raccon turd or a sensitive beefcake nipple (crummy penises or TheHoff wouldn't be half bad either). That would compliment you well. Just not The Ackbar, please..
Not sure if that is quite correct. Sales of both publishers have been in decline. Looking at the figures for July, August and September (would have gone further but work browser is a bit slow on some sites) Marvel had a higher Unit and Dollar share of the market. They also beat DC on both counts for the year so far Whilst the Batman-verse titles are selling very well the idea that they sell more than Marvel overall is far from true - despite Batman related comics being by far DCs biggest seller, and having the most titles in DC. DC did have the biggest selling issue of the year with Dark Nights Metal #1 (261,997 estimated units), but that was just recently beaten by Marvel's Marvel Legacy #1 (298,242) which sold just under double the number of issues for Dark Nights Metal #2.

So, what is the point besides trolling and flame war baiting?

And the tickets are sold at much higher prices plus DVD/Blu-Ray, streaming, and TV rights. So what is the "Core business" again?

"Core business" is a matter of definition and text interpretation. Core business in the context of my post is not meant in the sense of "commercial" or even "commercially most successful business activity (of many)", but as "original", "basic" or "historic" business. The comic selling business is the original business of these comic book companies. So, you misinterpreted my text.
But I do not care for this, if you suggest a better term I will gladly change the wording.

fair enough! This is a job for @deblovesbeccy
- Who in the big picture is doing relatively better with selling comics Marvel or DC? - Is the Batfamily outselling Marvel?
This is our most desperate hour. Help me, @deblovesbeccy . You're my only hope.
Define "Batfamily" ....Harley Quinn comics? Bane? Team & team-up titles featuring Batman? Batman sales are hefty, but seeing that Marvel out sells DC monthly, it's total won't beat Marvel's

I think it's a problem that we're now getting more than 2 major super hero movies a year. I think both sides are going to get so crazy that they're going to burn people out on these films.

Very possible. From this year we'll be getting 3 Marvel movies a year. Eventually we'll also get 2 DC movies every year. Then maybe 2 X-men related movies a year.

We get dozens if not hundreds of Rom Coms, Spy flicks, action films, and other genres per year. How come we're not burned out on those?

I can't say about those genres but horror seemed to have a down period in the '90s.
