Some JL reviews are coming in and so far they seem to describe a film that's sort of ok, but nothing particularly special. Kind of a take it or leave it vibe.
How do you feel that will factor in to the performance of both films when JL opens next weekend?

Not sure DC fans care about the quality of the movie. But of course some of them would never buy a ticket for a Marvel movie anyway.

They're not actually reviews, they're actually fans who are praising the movie on Twitter, I'm not buying. The actual reviews will start next Wednesday.

They'll make about the same, because the DCEU hasn't earned a $1.5 billion epic yet.

They're saying some of the action is good, but the story and villain are weak and the practical and CGI effects don't mesh. But that it's somewhat ok.

I was just on my Twitter, and searched #JusticeLeague and only saw praises. Some called it the most fun they had watching a DCEU movie.

I was reading the twitter posts listed on the DC board and most are saying it's got some decent moments but feels rushed/with a thin plot and villain/and with no character development. Also saw a couple that said the CGI and practical effects feel like two different movies.
Here, I just found this headline on The Independent summing it up
The Justice League Twitter reviews are in: 'It's fine'
Many said it is a lot of fun but that there are numerous flaws

Huh. Well if that's the case, I think most people would take "fine and fun" over the one-two punch that was the 2016 critical drubbing of the DCEU.

I only count 3 MCU films below 75 and just 1 below 70, so I just have to disagree with that. Virtually every MCU film has been met with very to extremely positive reaction.

If it does receive generally positive reception after all, people will see it.

Sure but fine isn't good, and it's definitely not great, which isn't particularly impressive for a film like this, (IF, and I mean IF, these reactions hold as general reviews of the film) The actual reviews may turn out wonderful and I'll be the first to say it. They also may go down the tubes.

The reviews generally sound good. So, think Batman v Superman but with good legs. A billion is clearly within reach now.

A billion would be realistic actually. BvS had a multiplier of about 1.9. If this movie keeps these reviews going, we are looking above 2.5 and a billion would very realistic.

I'm agreeing that a bil is possible, I'm just saying that's optimistic, especially with Thor still in theaters and Star Wars coming soon.
BVS had literally no competition, and it also didn't exist in a world where it had to deal with it's own poor reputation.

'Star Wars'? 'Justice League' needs to be worried about 'Coco', which comes out only a week after 'Justice League'.

How do you feel that will factor in to the performance of both films when JL opens next weekend? Have any comparisons to the Avengers been drawn yet? Is JL a leap ahead of it or is it more like Avengers 3.0? IMO, WB shouldn't have made this movie if it was going to be anything less than a home run. The JL's first appearance on the big screen shouldn't inspire middle-of-the-road reactions. "It's a lot of fun," is a euphemism for go see it if you're bored. Has anyone remarked on the overall team dynamic?
