I take BvS over raccoon turds and ninja turtles any day. You also take slop like "Martha" over Drax's musings on the nature of beauty and truth. ah, don't you get sensitive nipples about it, poo poo head. Drax's "musings on the nature of beauty and truth" seem just like another load of squishy raccon turd in the MCU fanboy pillow. Especially since you are unable to quote those musings for further literary analysis.
^Note: Incredibly, all of the above are original MCU quotes and may thus not be censored.

Drax's "musings on the nature of beauty and truth" Drax: People usually want cute pets. Why would Ego want such a hideous one? Mantis: I am hideous? Drax: You are horrifying to look at. Yes. Bu-But that's a good thing. Mantis: Oh? Drax: When you're ugly, and someone loves you, you know they love you for who you are... Beautiful people never know who to trust. Mantis: Well, then I'm certainly grateful to be ugly. I'll take that over "Martha".

No everybody doesn't know that. The cap series is easily comparable, and TDKR isn't better than Civil War as pointed out by the TDKR being controversial and Civil War being universally praised. And it's sort of odd that you're a moderator but use phrases like "everybody knows", and "which they aren't" to try and solidify a point. I would just think somebody in that position would want to engage in validating a case rather than making appeals to authority.
You proposed Ninja turtles as worse I believe. Ok, that's fair I guess, I don't know, I haven't seen it. Does that count as a comic?
Captain America First Avenger doesn't compare to Batman Begins. Captain America Winter Soldier doesn't compare to The Dark Knight. The only real fair comparison is The Dark Knight Rises to Civil War but again as pointed out, it got better reviews and audiences far prefer it. It was more controversial due to the expected high standards and what it followed but the evidence I pointed out which is the most notable that you can point out is that The Dark Knight Rises is better. Infact to add to it. Civil War got 16 Award wins and 63 nominations. The Dark Knight Rises got 38 Award wins and 103 nominations. So was considerably more successful at the awards. Ninja Turtles was actually originally a comic. Most think of it as the old 80's cartoon but yes it is a comic first. They absolutely compare.
But more importantly we're talking about the Snyderverse being one of the worst trilogies.

No 48-51 is a problem. Hit or miss isn't what they were going for or what it needed to be or what it should have been.
The Metacritic score is at 49 now, so that's an actual grade.
This is a perfectly valid discussion at this point.
Not really DC especially has shown an ability to overcome the critics, it doesn't need to be a hit with them but a hit with fans, which I have heard from the critics I give a damn about say this is a film for fans, but people unaware of the characters they may have issue with it, compare that to BVS which still made a killing in the theatres & that was not liked that much by even the fans, so a film critics are hit & miss about with a built in fanbase which critics do say will probably like this then DC are fine.
Also keep in mind this which I didn't realise until a months or so ago RT doesn't include all critics, most of the ones I listen to aren't considered by RT, so even with their score it's not the be all end all, Metacritic I don't really pay attention to and don't know how they come to their score so I dunno how valid that score is.
Also your point on is this the worst trilogy define a trilogy, do you mean worst 3 film run by a single director in CBM's? if so then by default yes because I think only Nolan has done 3 connected CBM's other than Snyder so by default Snyder loses, Gunn & the Russo's still have one more film, Singer's done 4 with a decade between the first 2 and the last 2.
But if you just mean a 3 movie run regardless of director then no, Batman in the 90's were worse, sure Returns was fine but the nipple duology is fucking heinous, also what about the final 3 Crow films, I like Crow 3 but 2 & 4 are shit.
I think the worst trilogy maybe marvel unconnected trilogy of Howard the Duck, Punisher & Captain America between 85-90 is the worst, though I love Howard the Duck for it's awfulness personally, but they are bad films, or y not Fox's Fan 4 trio of shit, sure Fan4stic is a reboot but still 3 films 3 bombs, atleast MOS is a good film.
It's a problem.

Yeah that's how comparing movies works. That's how every opinion of a movie ever has always worked. And in this regard Batman Begins is considered a vastly better movie than Captain America. You can disagree but you'd only be in the minority. No there was no superhero movie at the time that was like Batman Begins. Other Superhero movies of the time such as the X-men movies, Spider-man movies, Fantastic Four movies, Superman Returns, Hulk etc were completely different from Batman Begins. Which you've also said several times before as well. It's really nothing more than a petty excuse that's meaningless. That would only be your opinion and what wouldn't take away from the fact that he's still an iconic villain and considered to be one of the best in recent times, if not ever by movie standards.

This insulting fortune cookie dialogue gets praised by you since one year as the highlight of this juvenile film? This dialogue may resonate well with the not too attractive comic book nerd crowd, but it's as clumsy as it is stupid.
We are back at the fox and the grapes again.

I was trying to think of a comic book trilogy that has an Average RT rating below 50. I just looked up the Blade series and it actually stoops that low with the third getting a 25 and the first two in the 50's. Ghost Rider was awful but only has 2 films. I suppose we could count that though. Oh and there are only 2 fantastic four films, but those are well below 50 also. Maybe Daredevil and Elektra? Again only two films but that's relevant.
Obviously TDK series, Cap, Iron Man, Thor, and Avengers are well above 70.
Can you think of any others? Can we respond with thoughts that aren't dictated by review calculation sites?

Is superior to "Martha" and "Love will save the world". And "Die a hero or live long enough to become a villain", mainly because Dent's statement is blatantly false and Drax's statement has the ring of truth to it. Of course, had it BEEN in WW you'd be praising it. Something Diana says to someone. But I'm used to the double standards by now.

Batman Begins is considered a vastly better movie than Captain America. You can disagree but you'd only be in the minority. Put Begins out now, and it wouldn't be seen as all that special. With First Avenger people were sneering at the mere title of the film, so it had a harder time winning its audience. It's a fairly basic story. It just has Nolan's usual cliches. Because it's true. Thanks to Ledger dying.

Put Begins out now, and it wouldn't be seen as all that special. Baseless. A title is just a title, it has nothing to do with the quality of the movie itself which is pretty decent and fun but also generic and flawed movie and what is a far cry from the level that Batman Begins is at. It ain't just the story. The more realistic and grounded take on the character and its use of practical effects made it stand out when compared to the more light natured, fantastical, CGI ridden superhero movies that came out at the time and largely what you mostly still get today. It was the same reason why Logan was praised. It stood out from the usual fare.

How? Yeah, and enough were turned off by the name "Captain America" that it made the movie a harder sell. Creatively bankrupt. Logan got a good reception from being Jackman's Swan Song and for all the blood and gore to substitute for plot.

Because you have no idea how that movie would be seen as today. Anything you might say on how it would be seen would be nothing more than just speculation anyway. It also doesn't matter either way. Batman Begins was hugely liked at the time and it's hugely liked. Ow. Captain America was never hugely liked at any point. Which only impacts it's box office receipts not how good the movie itself actually is. If it was actually completely different from the norm them it was the most creative of them all. Everyone superhero movie that has the same tone and formula are the ones lacking in creativity. That's factually incorrect. That is not actually why the movie got good reviews.

Question! How is this thread any different than what DC-Fan have made in the past? This is exactly the kind of thread that you and weirdraptor would complain about. I don't read anything he posts so I don't know.
I was just asking an honest question, is the Snyder trilogy the worst? Is there some reason I can't ask that?
I never said that you couldn't ask a question. It's just that when a DC fan makes a thread like this, you guys usually flip out.

He goes into films that are rated very highly and nitpicks and exaggerates.
I'm simply talking about the reality of this film's reviews.

Because you have no idea how that movie would be seen as today. I know that with proper competition the movies wouldn't have been as well received. It now has nostalgia backing it and the after-effects of Dark Knight's critic-immunity wherein Nolanites went back and upvoted it. You'd be surprised. That's the thing, it wasn't that different. "Grounded" stuff had been how the Raimi Spidey and FoX-Men films were done. Nolan just tried that with a powerless character. It WAS mainly because it was Jackman's last time as Logan.
