At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if they advertise the Aquaman movie as being “From the Director of Furious 7”. They’re gonna need a good hook for that movie. doubt it, that did not work so well for the last Star Trek.... They'd be better off saying: "Remember all those DCEU turds? Well this guy had nothing to do with those."

He'll be back to shitpost, etc. More importantly, it appears that rumors of the DCEU's demise has been greatly exaggerated. When Arf arf was pouting about his inevitable spanking, that he claimed was his decision, he said he wouldn't be back. I told him he or some "new" poster that was somehow magically just like him would be back as soon as possible. What else does he have in his life? It was funny to see him drop his fake passive aggressive persona and spew vitriol but I think most of his bat shit crazy posts were deleted before I got to read them. Dang it. ah, thanks for the succinct report on the recent forum drama, was wondering why it's so peaceful around, expected the forum burning - all gone and deleted alas. Poor Arf, that must have been a frustrating coitus interruptus for him shortly before his long sought orgasmic triumph of gloating, schadenfreude and scoffing. He passed way before his time, bet he still had a gazillion baiting & flame war threads in him. He will always remembered for his passive aggressive (and at times not so passive) bullying on this forum and others.

Movies at $281 million now. Wow! What an unmitigated disaster. Who'd have ever thought that we'd arrive at a point where Justice League would need to show some decent legs before it can gross $800 million worldwide. General audiences have finally had enough of WB feeding them shit. Maybe it will dawn on them that IP alone isn't enough for non fanatics? If people are going to shell out $100 for their families to go to the movie theater, they want to see a good movie.

Well I'd say it's only real advantage now is that there's a whole month before another big movie comes out in Star Wars. I don't think Coco would play much of a factor. There's also Thanksgiving weekend coming up this week. It might allow it to make up some ground. Suicide Squad held out better than Batman vs Superman because it had little competition too and people seem a little more favorable of Justice League so we'll see how it goes.

Something in his personal life had to have been going wrong. He seriously just lost it. It was like just the fact that JL was releasing triggered some kind of rabid response of pure anger from him. I mean, how many threads did he make per day that just ruthlessly blasted a movie that he never even bothered to see? The funny thing about it is that I could actually see him liking the movie quite a bit. He honestly just flew off the rails. I hope he's okay psychologically.

In his better moments and when he's not spamming the boards, he seemed genuinely friendly. We'll probably hear in two weeks.

Unless it has unusually good holds, it will almost certainly not even remotely come close to that number. At this point, it may have to settle for $700 million or so at best.

So is 96 million the final/official number domestically for the weekend or is it just an estimate? I ask because I don't pay attention to box office very much or put much stake in pre sale number estimates and what not so I don't know if they actually have these numbers on an estimate or it's the official final number. Because if 96 is the final number for domestic I find that really shocking.

At this stage, there will be minimal variance between the estimates and the final tally - 1 to 3 million plus or minus is a best-case scenario. I don't understand why everyone is putting the film in its grave so quickly. JL will run virtually unopposed until Star Wars. Thor and Cocoa will present little opposition as the WOM for Justice league seem consistent - it's fun but, flawed. I don't think WB is concerned about making these films perfect or great. It's too much of a hassle considering that they can still get diehard fans to go to the theaters behind a subpar or passable product. Was anyone involved with JL even trying to do something as ground breaking as the Avengers?

People talking box office numbers is the same as people talking a RT score to me. It's all just used for people to argue and to try and justify their opinion as an over all fact. Just because a movie makes more than another doesn't mean it's better. Just because a movie has a higher RT score doesn't mean it's better. It's all just somebody's opinions and not all people's are the same and it gives me a head ache when people don't understand this. People take this shit far too seriously.

With many films there is always the "oh well it still has to have a release in China" to fall back on. Remember China, the country that had the first, apparently positive, audience reactions a few weeks back. Well by it's 2nd day it has made $37m (less than Thor Ragnarok). But most surprising, this total was from a release on 21,000 screens! (it was released on 4051 in the US)

$281 million worldwide now? So Justice League actually beat Raganarok (which had a $230 million worldwide opening).
But MCU fans says Ragnarok beat Justice League in the domestic market. Well, if MCU fans want to limit it to domestic market only, then Wonder Woman destroyed GotG2 and SMH and Ragnarok in domestic market totals.
But MCU fans say its worldwide market that counts. Well, if MCU fans want to include worldwide market, the Justice League destroyed Ragnarok in worldwide opening.
So which is it? Does worldwide market count (in which case Justice League destroyed Ragnarok in worldwide opening) or does worldwide market not count (in which case Wonder Woman destroyed GotG2 and SMH and Ragnarok in total box office)?

Hey, guys, should I remind DC-Fan that BvS had a huge opening weekend, too, before suffering a big drop off?
