I did enjoy the movie, thought it was good, but I have issues. I will lay out what I enjoyed and didn't.
Enjoyed: The action scenes were pretty great, although the CG always wasn't.
The team with new characters we haven't seen in a whole movie like Cyborg, Flash, and Aquaman were actually done really well for not having a solo film before the movie.
The team as a whole I thought connected very well for their first time on screen together, and each of their recruitment scenes were nicely done, although they didn't seem shortened.
I enjoyed the amount of comedy they used. Wasn't too much, but a couple jokes did feel forced.
The score was something I was worried about ever since Elfman was announced. Even more so after he said he was using the old themes. After seeing it I thought he used the themes perfectly. Not only that he fixed that bombastic Wonder Woman score that Zimmer created. I still felt Junkie XLs score would have fit better, but Elfman still did a good job.
Ray Fisher as Cyborg was a standout to me. This is his first live action movie, he was acting on stage before he was cast as Victor Stone. For being his first movie he was great thought and hopefully we see more of him soon.
Ezra Miller was another actor who did well, and I worried about this casting from the start. He was a major standout in one major scenes that I will not mention for spoilers, but if you seen the movie you probably know what I'm talking about.
And of course that end credit scene. Wow!
What I didn't enjoy:
While I did like the recruitment scenes, you could tell they were trimmed down. I wouldn't say poorly edited, but you could just feel there was something else there but they didn't show it.
The CG was a major problem is enough scenes for me to mention as a negative. For example the mustache in some scenes. In was good okay in some scenes and awful in others. Then there is Steppenwolf. I didn't mind he was entirely CG, but his face was the most noticeable and bad.
Now for the story. I know they don't give much of a backstory or detail to Steppenwolf's plan other than Superman is gone and he wants to take over Earth. But I felt like at least mentioning Darkseid for more than a second would have fixed that at least some. Saying Darkseid sent him to start the war would have gone a long way, maybe not enough, but a long way over what they ended up doing.
Not enough Alfred and Gordon. This also falls into the cutting of scenes, but I feel like these two were missing in some important parts. More so Alfred towards the end of the movie.
Overall I had a blast watching it over this weekend with two different groups of friends. Not perfect, but still good and enjoyable. 8/10

For all your complaints, it's still better than Ragnarok?
And people say MCU fans are biased.
What's wrong with Feldman? He's done so much. Nightmare before Christmas. Batman (89). Batman Returns. He's worked on several of the animated Batman series.

For all your complaints, it's still better than Ragnarok? Yes, because Ragnarok has more Cons than JL. JL is definitely better than Ragnarok. And people say MCU fans are biased. Because that's true.

You actually act like I'm giving JL an Oscar and Ragnarok a Razzie. Elfman has been a shell of himself for well over a decade now. But he proved me wrong in large part.

People have been trashing JL while Ragnarok got rave reviews, but you place JL higher than Ragnarok. Ragnarok is actually the lowest rated of the 3 Thor movies for me-9, but that's issues with the character. Jokes that don't fit the character. I'm just hoping JL will be higher than a 6. Looking over Elfman's IMDB, I don't see any issues. MiB 3 would include familiar themes. Oz the Great & Powerful. Alice in Wonderland. Big Eyes. Ultron. Scores are supposed to support the movie, not overpower it.

Yes, because Ragnarok has more Cons than JL. JL is definitely better than Ragnarok. Because that's true. But DC fans aren't? No, DC fans aren't the ones who claimed that Civil War is better than TDKR and that the Cap trilogy is better than The Dark Knight trilogy. Only biased MCU fans, such as Arf Arf and formersamhmd, say that.

I’ve been hearing a lot of praise for the end credit scene. Apparently, it’s the best part of the movie.
Remember when DC fans were criticizing Marvel for the use of end credit scenes? DC would never resort to such gimmicks! ... Doh!

I'm sure the pieces would have lined up better if they had wait a few more years as recent news has shown.

I always loved their extra scenes, but had an issue with some recent as they didn't seem as important as the ones in the past.

Just the ones that we’re doing the criticizing at the time. Were you one of them? If not then, naturally, I wasn’t referring to you.

good review Cowher, 6.5 in my book but I always rate conservatively. A lot of good character energy, a lot of messy storytelling and execution.
Dumb but fun.

ALL Nolan films My baby dragged me out to Dunkirk. Good God, he can screw up a war story?

I did enjoy the movie, thought it was good, but I have issues. I will lay out what I enjoyed and didn't. Ackbar was right It's a couple movies. The beginning was so pedestrian, my baby gave it a 2. I pointed out Flash saved it so yeah. So...damned...slow...dragged...out. They didn't impress me. In places yes. Others, just Why? How the HELL did they beat Steppenwolf in the past when he cut thru Atlanteans & Amazon's like a hot knife thru butter? What did they do to Cyborg? My baby watched Teen Titans in the 90s. He & Beast boy were party dudes. They let Bruce joke so Cyborg had to be broody? . No. They didn't play well together until after Supes It's adorable so many people bitch about how much humor there is. . I LOVED hearing the 78 Superman & the 89 Batman themes. See the teen titans comment But if they feel they have boxed themselves in with JL, Teen Titans or Legion could be a route to pursue He was endearing. Seemed like Peter Parker. Sad it took so long for the DCEU to fix such important characters But places to go, people to kill.

I just have one question. Is the shot of Aquaman slamming down the bottle of Jack while the waves crash into him in the movie or not? The only reason I ask this is because that was my favorite shot of any of the trailers I saw and then the later trailers didn't make me think that Aquaman we were seeing was that same character from the early trailer. My thinking is that it may have gotten scrapped when Whedon took it over and made him a lot more light hearted.
