I've grown up with cats, currently we have two of our own and we feed two homeless cats every day too. I love Cat People (1982), it's kind of like a werewolf movie only people turn into cats instead. It's very stylish and a little freaky, not much in common with the original. Keanu (2016) was a cute movie about a kitten stolen by drug dealers. Nine Lives (2016) was funny at the time, maybe not so much now, it stars Kevin Spacey as a trapped in his own cat's body. A Streetcat Named Bob(2016) Apparently 2016 was a major cat year for Hollywood. This is a little British movie with a lot of heart about a busker and his ginger cat friend, Bob. Based on a true story. From my childhood, The Cat From Outer Space (1978)

Шахматная горячка , Chess Fever (1925) Soviet Union. Dir. Vsevolod Pudovkin. An excellent silent comic short film about chess obsession. Combining actual footage from the 1925 chess tournament occurring at the time, the film includes many cameos from the world's best Chess Champions and grandmasters. Chess fever has gripped the city of Moscow, which is hosting an international super-tournament. A lively opening scene in the apartment of our hero (Vladimir Fogel) features a cat and her mischievous kittens…

This Gun for Hire (1942) Dir. Frank Tuttle. Philip Raven (Alan Ladd) plays a ruthless cold-blooded assassin; however, he is warm-hearted and affectionate towards cats. The film opens with a small black and white tuxedo kitten meowing outside Raven's apartment window. He caringly pours some condensed milk into a saucer for the kitten and becomes seriously upset when the housekeeper shoos the kitten away. Later, while taking shelter in an abandoned building a tabby cat appears. Raven happily comforts it in his arms, explaining to Ellen (Veronika Lake) that he likes cats because they’re on their own and don’t need anything and that cats bring you luck, he names his new friend “Toughie”…

I have an 8 year old Cat. He was a Stray Kitten who showed up one day. Took awhile to socialize him. But he's a spoiled House Cat now.
I'm an Animal lover. I cringe when Pets show up in horror movies or Thrillers.(Or True Crime shows.) It usually means they will die or be abused. I hate that. I don't even like reading Animal abuse stories. It really bothers me. I wish people were kinder to Animals in real life too.
